Place was closed without notofication to us . We had to look and pay for a other place to stay inn.
When we arrived no one was there place was locked and we are still waiting for the refund.

This is essentially a review of Fonte Cerreto, as the hotel I stayed in is not in Assergi. Fonte Cerreto is very small, and is really just the base for exploring the Gran Sasso in the summer. It is probably also a good base for exploring the ski area in the winter. I ate in the hotel, but I think the trattoria a few hundred yards down the road would have provided better food.
good location, lovely place, having everything one needs! makes you feel like home. helpful and lovely hosts ( including the dog- Barney, who literally took us for a walk, showing the hidden secrets of Assergi❤️)
