It was our second visit to the hotel. The location is great. The atmosphere really quiet and calm. Staff attentive. Best of all is the fully vegan menu. The food was delicious. We will definitely stay again en route.

Great spa with outside jacuzzi with a spectacular view.
Valle d'Aosta is a less frequented cosy corner of Italy.
Valle d'Aosta is a less frequented cosy corner of Italy. Lots of history (more medieval castles than churches!), Roman, Gothic, Baroque...
Aosta is a perfect base for exploration of the whole region. Lots of nice littel restaurants with local, typical food (menus tend to be similar ;-).
Torino (Turin) is only a good hour driving away, if you need a day in a bigger city between time to enjoy nature and the smaller mountain villages.
When traveling by car, consider using Gd.St.Bernard pass, rather than the Mont Blanc tunnel (which took us 2 hours waiting, while the Bernard tunnel was fluid).

Aosta is a nice change for a more cost-effective ski trip.
Aosta is a nice change for a more cost-effective ski trip. It's a working town with more industrial parts on the outskirts and a prettier old-town in the centre.
We really enjoy the skiing in Pila - a good mix of tree lined, interesting runs and more open runs for a smaller resort. Lots of Italians skiing as well as tourists. Also the opportunity to ski in Courmayeur and Cervinia for the day as part of some ski passes.
Some good restaurants in town and the suburbs and a very large supermarket, so great for self-catering.
Pleasant and picturesque drive from Milan airport too.

From the main motorway Aosta would be easy to drive past. But take the time to visit and you will be pleasantly surprised of what it has to offer. Loved the city and its history. The surrounding countryside is beautiful and many hidden gems to discover.

An interesting ancient town named after the emperor Augustus...
An interesting ancient town named after the emperor Augustus Caesar. Many fine restaurants. Charming streets and lots of shops. Many remnants of Ancient Rome around the city, like the Roman wall, Teatro Romano and Praetorian Gate. A few stone towers from medieval times too. Everywhere you go you look up and you can see the Alps. Take the time to get outside of town and go to the skyway cable car. Take it to the top of Monte Bianco. Amazing! Quite a few different amazing towns just outside of Aosta also. The region has a hybrid flair of French and Italian mixed culture.

Lovely little town with great history and lovely people.
Lovely little town with great history and lovely people. Not too many tourists and loads to do in the surroundings, especially if u like hiking!
Great for a long week-end of discoveries, nature and rest…! (we were there in August 2023)
We stay at this hotel every time we visit or pass through Aosta (see my previous reviews). The location is fantastic right in the heart of the historic city and with private parking.
The room is big enough, and the view of the Alps from the window is breathtaking.
The room is very clean and the bed comfortable.
The breakfast is excellent with a variety of cheese, cold cuts, dairy products and of course the sweet part.
Coffee, tea and juice complete the breakfast.
And the price is very reasonable.
This hotel was such a gem of a find. Hidden away in the Aosta valley, the location was very picturesque. The hosts were lovely, and very friendly. Gave us a few tips for our onward journey too.
Very charming property with history. The room was clean, extremely spacious, great amenities with a kitchen area tucked away in the corner. Breakfast was really nice, and the hosts took great care to ensure our needs were catered for.
Free parking available on site.
Lovely, well-located hotel. The suite we booked was exceptional, the Italianita` of it extraordinary. Wonderful, helpful staff, in English and Italian. Private underground parking close by - like many European parking structures, very narrow ramps, but otherwise fine. We didn't try the restaurant or the bar, but both looked charming. Aosta is a beautiful little city, especially during the winter holidays. We will be back!
We had the most enjoyable weekend at hotel Diana! The rooms are spacious enough and clean. The breakfast has plenty of good choices (coffee is great btw). The spa is extraordinary, we were not expecting such fancy spa facilities. Plus, you can privatize the spa in the evening for a unique experience! But the most enjoyable part was probably how nice and welcoming the staff was. We will be back. Thank you
I have stayed in this hotel before. It is a lovely, comfortable family run hotel. Both the owner and staff were most welcoming and friendly which made our stay very enjoyable. We had a superb, quality meal in the evening with some fine wine (and grappa). Breakfast was excellent. I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel as a place to stay......I certainly plan to vist again the future.
Our room was large with a beautiful four poster bed, a separate sitting area and a balcony with lovely views of Aosta and the surrounding mountains. The breakfast selection was very large and included local cheeses and well as big selection of sweets. The hotel is set in a quiet area and we appreciate not staying in the more busy city centre.
Nice modern hotel. Stopped on route to getting the gondola up to Pila the following day. Was good solution to arriving after it closed. If came again would consider staying here in Aosta rather than in Pila itself, although in this instance would recommend leaving boots and skis in the locker lifts rather than carrying back to hotel.
Everything came up to and beyond expectations. Very relaxing, hepful and cheerful staff. A perfect location for a rest stop-over or for a week or more to exploe the unique Aosta valley. Some unusual tree shapes in an enhcanting garden, a friendly little church with a charming chime. Very easy to find the hotel.
The house is on a hill above Aosta. It is breezy and even when it is hot in summer its nice. House is made of thick stone wall and preserves cold, so you do not need air condition in summer.
The host has everything that you need in the kitchen - oil, salt, coffee... And in the bathroom soap, cream, tissues..
The owner was friendly and the hotel was completely charming. The building we stayed in had been restored and was lovely. You could see the other projects that were in the works that will be an enhancement to. We feel like coming back to see it finished. The location was perfect for sightseeing.
An apartment in the center of Aosta (a bit vintage) but very clean. All kitchen appliances and tableware are new. Everything shown in the description is real. A little more than expected. Close to shops, restaurants, cafes. It was a pleasure to spend part of our vacation in this location.
The views from the free, not paid for, balcony were amazing and lovely in the morning and evening.
A little out of Aosta, but that was not a problem for us, and after our initial journey to find it , no need for a map.
Spacious, comfortable, quiet. Well equipped kitchen. Close to bus and train station. Mountain View. Elevator. Excellent communication by host. If we come back to Aosta we would stay here. They treat you like family.
Very good strategic location in Aosta, clean, calm, easy to walk to the city center, a parking place provided. And this hotel loves children - or son enjoyed a little surprise left for him in our room.
It's a great comfortable place with a gorgeous view. We had convenient parking and situated in a great location close to Aosta and main roads. A good place for a nice getaway.
