Amazing views of either the mountain or sea from your rooms. Hot tubs overlooking the sea to take a warm soak and just marvel at the nature. Dinner was excellent - prepared fresh before your eyes. Breakfast was delicious and filling - fresh eggs any style and a spread of wonderful choices. Staff was so helpful. Very quiet and serene - a true pleasure to stay here.

We stayed in one of their cabins located within woods close to main hotel. All guests now have good buffet breakfast available, but hotel no longer provides dinner. Lovely lounge available with great views. Staff friendly and helpful. We ate at Askur pizzeria which serves local beers too. Hotel about 10 min drive to main town and 1 hr from Puffin viewing at Hafnaholim. There is a modern cafe there too. Recommend a visit to Fardagafoss about 5 min drive & 30 min walk to waterfall with amazing views across the town.

The breakfast was the best part of the hotel. The staff at the breakfast was friendly and attentive.
The people at the reception weren't unfriendly, but quite neutral.

One of our favorite places to stay during our two-week drive around Iceland! Beautiful location, with multi-purpose lodging (one area was designated for camping, there were cabins with private bathrooms and another area of cabins that shared a common bathroom). We had one of the cozy/turf roofed economy cabins with shared bathrooms. Loved it! Surrounded by woods, sounds of nature and beautiful mountains for our view. About a 15-minute drive outside of Egilsstadir. Cabins had lovely outdoor porches. Bathrooms were clean. Highly recommend!
