Beautiful location, greeted by reindeers, view over the fjord is amazing. Very clean, nice decoration. Super quiet and private. Very nice host Giacomo came by and gave us information about the fjord and some nice hikes to do - very much appreciated, thank you, you were on our tour so far the first host to greet us personally!

It is a beautiful secluded town in Eastfjords filled with colorful houses. Serene and quiet surrounded by beautiful mountains. We wish we had more time to visit artisan galleries. Unfortunately we arrived late evening and art studios were closed.

This town is a bit over rated in my opinion.
This town is a bit over rated in my opinion. There is almost nothing there. The setting is nice, but we stayed in a town called Siglufjordur up north is much prettier and had a lot more to offer, so I would skip this one and head up there.

This is a great place to stay for a couple of days.
This is a great place to stay for a couple of days. The town is small but charming, and there a multiple day hikes close by. If you are doing the ring road, this might be a nice spot for two nights to rest up a bit. You might catch a glimpse of the Faroe Islands/Denmark Ferry that comes in once a week. Breakfast options are limited, however there is a little bakery in the supermarket that has wonderful fresh baked bread and goods.

This is a pleasant town in a strikingly beautiful location between mountains and a fjord. Apart from the surrounding beauty, the town is tranquil (out of season) and very walkable. We understand that things heat up during the summer season. There are a handful of restaurants and a well-stocked supermarket. During working hours the town suffers from strong fishy odors coming from the local fish processing factory.
In short, it is a must-see stop on any tour of Iceland.

Seydisfjordur was a picture perfect village.
Seydisfjordur was a picture perfect village. We ate at two of the restaurants and the food was delicious. We enjoyed a local hike. And being fans of "The Secret Life of Walter Mitty" we enjoyed seeing the filming locations in this town.
This house was perfect for us. We where 4 guys on a hunting trip and we wanted to be able to come and leave as we like and also be able to cook for ourself on the barbecue and use the hot tub. All this is just perfect in Langahlíð. The distance from Seyðisfjörður is very decent and the spaces between cabins are very good.
The staff was very very helpful. The came and checked on us and switched out the gas for us on the barbecue and gave us extra tissue in no time. Very helpful and friendly.
The hostess, Kristin, was so lovely--warm and welcoming! These are the apartments that she grew up in with her family and grandparents so they are very dear to her. It was wonderful to be able to spread out after many nights in hotels. We were able to make dinner and do laundry. The bathroom and kitchen are nicely renovated. The beds were so comfy. I felt like I was staying at a friend's apartment. And Seyðisfjörður is so tranquil and charming.
This should be one of the most comfortable hotels I've stayed at during this trip. The stunning lake and mountain views are truly exceptional, and it's also conveniently close to the famous little church.
I even had the privilege of witnessing the Northern Lights while enjoying a beer on the balcony at night. I believe everyone should definitely not miss this place.
By the way, The apartment host is super friendly.
very comfortable, rooms were in an antique/ romance style with all necessities seen to. the surrounding town has everything you need within walking distance. Warning to foreign travelers coming from other areas of Iceland in winter, the town is isolated on the other side of a mountain that can get quite hazardous to cross in icy or snowy conditions, proceed with caution.
The guest house has a guest laundry that is free . Guest laundries are rare in Iceland, much less free. The owner of the guesthouse is extremely helpful She even gave me a ride with my heavy luggage in her own car early in the morning a few blocks down the street to a sailboat I was meeting to crew on.
The quaint little village was so quiet and beautiful. The colorful street that leads to the church was so cool. The people in the shops were friendly. The sushi restaurant above Hotel Alden restaurant was delicious and a wonderful view. The experience was exceptional.
This property was great! We traveled around Iceland for a month and this was our favorite budget accommodation! The kitchen is spacious and well equipped. The sauna and showers downstairs are great. And the general vibe was very relaxed and friendly.
This place was incredible. Everything from the jaw dropping views to the small details, like robes in each room, was over the top. You can tell the owners have put their love into what they do. Best place we’ve stayed in Iceland.
The location of Hotel Aldan could not have been better!!! The room was clean and spacious, and the views from our window was AMAZING!!! The hotel is located in the heart of Seydisfjordur, and everything was I. walking distance.
Village and way too the village is a must see. The hostel has a lot of charm. Even a sauna in the basement. Some good restaurants in town, el grillo cafe en the hotel beside it has great breakfast.
The room is exceptionally clean and comfortable, the location is amazing! We stayed in for a night with our 2 kids. The hotel has a shared kitchen so we could make a meal for our kids
The only hostel in which we stayed during our week in Iceland (different place ea. night), but by far the very nicest place (and value) among all of accommodations across the country.
The staff was very kind and nice. There is a shared kitchen I could use, good feature. It is not like hotel, but like one room in a flat house with more than few rooms.
