Lovely 3 bed property with great hot tub. Quiet location overlooking the fjord. Walkable to a few waterfalls and the town but very private. Helpful owners. Provided games which were very welcome when we were stuck inside for most of one day due to a storm. Appreciated the robes.

It is a beautiful secluded town in Eastfjords filled with colorful houses. Serene and quiet surrounded by beautiful mountains. We wish we had more time to visit artisan galleries. Unfortunately we arrived late evening and art studios were closed.

This town is a bit over rated in my opinion.
This town is a bit over rated in my opinion. There is almost nothing there. The setting is nice, but we stayed in a town called Siglufjordur up north is much prettier and had a lot more to offer, so I would skip this one and head up there.

This is a great place to stay for a couple of days.
This is a great place to stay for a couple of days. The town is small but charming, and there a multiple day hikes close by. If you are doing the ring road, this might be a nice spot for two nights to rest up a bit. You might catch a glimpse of the Faroe Islands/Denmark Ferry that comes in once a week. Breakfast options are limited, however there is a little bakery in the supermarket that has wonderful fresh baked bread and goods.

This is a pleasant town in a strikingly beautiful location between mountains and a fjord. Apart from the surrounding beauty, the town is tranquil (out of season) and very walkable. We understand that things heat up during the summer season. There are a handful of restaurants and a well-stocked supermarket. During working hours the town suffers from strong fishy odors coming from the local fish processing factory.
In short, it is a must-see stop on any tour of Iceland.

Seydisfjordur was a picture perfect village.
Seydisfjordur was a picture perfect village. We ate at two of the restaurants and the food was delicious. We enjoyed a local hike. And being fans of "The Secret Life of Walter Mitty" we enjoyed seeing the filming locations in this town.
Beautiful historic hotel in a quaint Icelandinc village, a great experience. The rooms are beautifully decorated with vintage furniture and super stylish, we loved it, and the facilities are excellent. please don’t be put off by other reviews mentioning you can hear the wooden floors when other guests are walking, it’s simply not the case and the peoperty is too charming to focus on these details, which are of course normal for a historic house. Truly enjoyable experience, would absolutely recommend.
Amazing Hostel! More comfortable than most hotels we've stayed in. It was extremely lovely decorated and the atmosphere was just so relaxed and made us feel directly at home. We had a great view out of our room directly at Seydisfjördur. We did also enjoy the sauna in the evening. In case we will come back, we will defenitely stay again at Hafaldan HI Hostel!
This guesthouse is in a great location within this small but beautiful town, a short walk to everything you need (bars, restaurants, grocery shopping, etc). The room was a generous size, clean, with comfortable beds. The kitchen amenities were generous with plenty of space for cooking & storing our groceries. We definitely recommend this guesthouse.
this hotel had 3 guesthouses and in the picture Sneffell was mine. very nice room with fantastic views of the harbor and surrounding mountains. i can only recommend🇮🇸👍. kind regards Christian (Germany)
