There were so many things I loved about Hotel Hamar. The staff were brilliant and were so helpful when we had an issue that needed tools to fix. The views of the mountain range are breathtaking. It was a great choice for my first stay in Iceland. The location was perfect; not far from Reykjavik airport, near the peninsula, and close to the Rejkholt valley for exploring. Beautifully decorated home (all rooms including the toilet!) with a fully equipped kitchen. We stayed in the small twin room which fitted a small square table, a chair and a large bedside cabinet. The beds were comfortable and the shower/toilet was the most well furnished of all the places we stayed in Iceland - large sink, coat hanger and a bamboo chair! There was even a dog to play with in the cafe below :-)
