The hotel's structure is solid, and the small gym is very handy, useful and is open 24/7. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the overall cleanliness was good (although with some problems, explained below). Breakfast was great, with good variety and quality.

It was quiet and clean location l. Perfect home from home to crash from seeing the sights along from Keflavík airport. The hot tub was great after a long day hiking Glymur! 😊

There are 2 Reyhkolts in Iceland and this is the more...
There are 2 Reyhkolts in Iceland and this is the more westerly one (the other is on the Golden Circle to the south). We visited Vidgelmir, the lava tube, and it was fabulous! It's cold inside so dress warmly. The guides were all geologists who specialize in this kind of formation and were knowledgeable about both geology and the history of the tube. Krauma geothermal baths and restaurant: the baths were expensive and we didn't go but the restaurant served great food (also expensive as is all food in Iceland).
Location was great, and cabin very functional and comfortable. Jacuzzi was very easy to use and worked very well, as well as everything in the cabin (kitchen, hot water, etc.). Amazing location for a quiet, resourceful stay, which was exactly what we were looking for. You need to rent a car if you're going to stay there, but if you do, it's a great place to stay and explore the western part of Iceland.
The house is beautifully appointed. Beds are so comfortable and there is a hot tub and a sauna. You can make a great meal in the kitchen and the relax outside looking at an incredible view with a glass of wine. The perfect place to unwind. Excellent blinds for bright summer nights. Lots of great hiking and natural attractions to see. Recommend checking out the tours organized by Hotel Husafell
Great room with a balcony where we could go out and watch the northern lights. The room was facing North! Perfect for viewing the lights, We decided to have dinner there and were happy we did. Great dinner! The host was also very helpful showing us sites to view around . Out of the 6 nights we stayed in Iceland, the beds were one of the best and so comfortable.
The best hotel in our 2 week trip to Iceland. Very spacious, luxurious and comfortable room. Great to have free hot pools and sauna. Very pleasant restaurant with tasty food. Friendly and helpful staff. Really enjoyed our stay.
Good location if visiting Husafell. Off the beaten track of the usual Ring road tourist sites
The guest house was clean and well managed. Our hosts were friendly and the location was exceptionally beautiful. We enjoyed walking around the farm, seeing the sheep, Icelandic horses and sheep dogs. Using the common kitchen was a way to interact with the other guests and find out what was good to see in the area.
The cottage was lovely, warm and cosy, a perfect bolt hole from the Icelandic weather. The location was brilliant - wonderful views across the valley to the mountain ranges beyond. The host was very friendly and welcoming, even making time to show us the sheep and lambs!
Inga and Siggi were wonderful and welcoming and the house was like a 5-star hotel private property!!! I have stayed at many high-end hotels and this house exceeded them. The owners were accessible and checked in on us frequently to make sure we had whatever we needed.
The hot tub was such a great way to end the day of exploring the Icelandic countryside. The kitchen had everything we needed. The fireplace was cozy. The beds were dreamy. Truly the best place I have ever stayed. I wish we could have spent more time.
Everything! The rooms were clean and well appointed with comfortable beds, a desk with convenient outlets nearby. The location was quiet and quite scenic. And the breakfast was a wonderful opportunity to experience a typical Icelandic breakfast.
In one word..EVERYTHING! The house is amazing. A beautiful place to stay in a great location for exploring Iceland. The hosts were brilliant and have set the highest standard! It will be hard to find another place to match Holt Villa!
Remote location but this is the charm of Iceland. Interesting to pop in to nearby town of Reykholt. Really enjoyed the hot tub, watching the stars. Everything we needed was there. Good communications from host.
The reception was more than welcoming, made us feel like home. They were also very helpful, answered all our questions.
I personally believe this was one our favorites stays in Iceland.
The Foss Hotel was fantastic for our needs and budget. The staff was extremely friendly and the breakfast delicious. The location fit right into our vacation plans. Thank you.
Gorgeous location and super helpful owner were the icing on top of a unique stay with views to the sky and wild Icelandic weather. I would highly recommend the property.
