Huge and spacious apartment with comfy chairs, sofa and bed. Excellent kitchen equipment and storage. The view out of the window and from the balcony of the fjord was fabulous. It was very convenient having a supermarket a couple of minutes walk away.
Set on the most eastern fjord, Nordfjördur, this family-run farm stay is 7 km from Neskaupstadur town centre. It provides free WiFi, scenic country views, as well as horse riding tours on site.

Lovely place, had not realised that it is a working farm, but it was great for us for a night. The hosts were very kind and we even had a show during breakfast, with a bit on icelandic history, the vikings and genetics... most entertaining.
Offering a shared lounge, The Bank Sleeping offers accommodation in Neskaupstaður. The property features mountain and garden views.

The location is a bit hard to get to because of the bumpy road, but the view along the road is great.
We checked in at night and Margert, the hostess left me a note with detailed instructions to get to the room and get the key. I feel warmly welcomed. I let my phone at my home, but when I get home, I found a message saying I could cancel the booking for free because of bad weather (which did not affected me actually). And my stay was pleasant. The best part is the price, it is very attractive.
Set in Seydisfjördur village, this accommodation offers rooms with free WiFi. Egilsstadir village is 28 km away. The property also offers on-site free parking.

This was a great character place to stay - slightly sloping floors and lots of history. The kitchen was well equipped, and a good dining area and separate sitting area. There was also a sauna in the basement beside the laundry facilities.
Rooms were large & comfortable.
We enjoyed a walk around the town where there are information boards about the recent land slides and building works, and enjoyed a great meal at the local bistro recommended by the warden.
The road to this hostel goes to 400m, so be wary of potential icy / snow road conditions: we came over in thick fog after the snow had been cleared. In the morning we waited an hour or so before departing to ensure that the ice from the night had cleared (very useful Iceland road conditions website!).
Located in the village of Seydisfjördur, this modern apartment has chic open-plan living areas and free Wi-Fi throughout. The terminal for Smyrill Line ferries to Denmark is 500 metres away.

Cute little town with scenic walking/running tails.
Cute little town with scenic walking/running tails. It has everything an authentic Icelandic town needs: a grocery store, gas station, cafe with decent coffee, swimming pool and lots of nature around.

Cute town away from the busy ring road, amazing landscape . The local swimming pool is one of the best have visited in Iceland . Hike to Easter Cave is also recommended . Eat fish at Bait Shack outside on the pier with locals , unique place !
We came in the evening and were met but an actual human being at the front desk (as opposed to a key taped to the door or a series of internet-delivered instructions). We got a huge one-bedroom apartment with a nice kitchen, living room and a balcony. A very comfortable bed, too - an exception among the several hotels that we stayed at during our trip. I wish we could stay more than one night to take full advantage of that nice apartment. The breakfast was decent, too.
Very nice hotel - the apartment was very spacious and comfortable, equipped with everything one might need, including a very well equipped kitchen. The check in was very smooth and easy in a hotel reception and the staff was very helpful and friendly when we needed their help with fixing some issues with the reservation. The hotel is very nicely located - the view for the bay and mountains from the balcony was amazing :) Recommend it to everyone
The hostess, the one from Spain, was probably the most helpful check-in person I've ever seen at the hotel. She was so genuinely helpful and smiled, and eager to help solve any issues and answer our questions. She even put her jacket, hat and gloves on and came outside up to our apt to show us how to lock our door (which we thought was broken). She should consider going into hospitality if she isn't already.
This hotel is essentially a working farm. Horses, sheeps and lambs are the primary products. The highlight of this establishment is the friendliness of the staff. Having breakfast in the morning was like eating in your own kitchen and having quiet conversations with friends and family. They also provided guidance to find the local puffin population.
Standard Icelandinc wood floors and cleanliness.
I chose this location as the eastern most hotel in Iceland. Its quirky and i found out the reason from the manager - its a part time hotel (also used for boarding school pupils in term time). i had a lovely view and in some respects its basic but there's someting about the layout and ambience i realy liked.
Where to begin....this hotel is in a beautiful, quiet location. The apartment begs you to stay forever. The staff is awesome...friendly, helpful and professional. A complimentary bottle of wine and an awesome dessert surprised us on our anniversary!
I wish that I could live here!
The spacious apartment had all the amenities we needed (Some wear and tear but comfy). We enjoyed using the (free) pool with water slides and walking around. The Cliff hotel had a beautiful view and breakfast was delicious. We were the only ones in the restaurant at 9 am.
The apartment was very spacious and very well equipped. It looked over the fjords from the balcony. The entrance is at the back of the building and you take your keys from the bar below the hotel which opens from the fjord side.
Breakfast was served in a Café, 2 Minutes drive. Breakfast was delicious and Personal wäre very nice. The Breakfast was super. Thank good, that it was not served in the Hotel. Breakfast and Location of the Café were Perfect.
Very spacious and clean apartment, beautiful view over fjord and the best was the swimming pool nearby ( for free for hotel’s guests). We extremely enjoyed staying there. Thank you again!
The waterfront view was great. The hotel was clean. The shower had hot water. The breakfast was good for being free: cereal, ham cheese, pastries, bread...
