It was very close to the airport, as well as the bus stop. The room was great for 3 people, with a little sofa, TV, plenty of space for bags. The breakfast had a lot of variety.
This hotel offers a free drop-off shuttle service to the neighbouring Keflavík International Airport between 04:00 and 10:00. WiFi and private parking are also free.

Serviceable for a night before an early flight. Very close to the airport/rental car companies and plenty of parking. Easy to get in/out at any hour. Well equipped enough for one night.

The surroundings of Keflavík are mainly known for volcanic activity, hot springs and beaches marked by volcanic activity. It's definitely an interesting place, but don't look for greenery there.

The airport is crowded, with confusing signage with so many tourists arriving and departing . Only 2 fastfood outlet in the check
In hall , so you don‘t have many options taking your lunch or dinner. But after safety control you have more choices on dining.
The very good thing with ICELANDAIR is evening check in for your next morning flight is really a great thing you can do , so on the morning you don‘t have to check in , just straight going to safety control with boarding pass which is will save you a lot of time.

I am sure staying at ConVin was expensive, but they had a great bistro there, and we were able to take advantage and have a great meal there. Near Bank guesthouse there are few food options. Taxi a necessity to the airport, or bus (15 min walk)

Everyone I came in contact with at the airport spoke English - a big plus for me as I don't speak Icelandic. Everyone was very pleasant and helpful to me. I had fish and chips from one of the restaurants and it was very good. There is a "Meeting Point" where I was told to go upon arriving at the airport and someone came and got me from there for wheelchair assistance, Very efficient. Unfortunately, there was a gate change for my aircraft and the wheelchair people didn't get the message so I had to push my chair - using it like a walker - and when the gate agent saw me, he was upset that I didn't have someone pushing me. He set me down and pushed me himself.

The town is situated near to the airport.
The town is situated near to the airport. We had spent the afternoon exploring the peninsula there, going right to the tip. There are two lighthouses there and a local history museum. (Free admission at time of visit). It was worth the visit. There is also a restaurant attached.
In the town, there is a main street with a number of shops/bars/restaurants, along with a supermarket. There is also a promenade for strolling along.

Keflavik is easily overlooked by many whom just go straight to the capital but honestly its such a nice little town, there's enough to see and do to last a decent amount of time and in comparison at least for me was more fun to explore than the capital!
Hotel with the look & feel of a traditional American Motel. Perfect for a family of 4 persons with an early morning flight from Keflavik Airport. The complimentary airport shuttle provided by the hotel works perfectly (you need to book it on the hotel website).
Recommendation for 1 or 2 nights before or after a flight from Keflavik Airport.
The entrance of the property and the lounge is very stylish, looks amazing and they have good breakfast.
Close to airport 10 min drive close to local shops and restaurants 10-20 min walk
The clinic service was very good also
Other good point is they have parking
Located very close to keflavik airport. Free airport shuttle service early in the morning very convenient. One just needs to book it with the hotel staff prior.
