The location of the property was wonderful with beautiful views from the hot tubs and the lounge area. Very quick trip into the little town. The rooms are simple but with lovely little touches. The breakfast was very nice. Julita (sorry if we have the spelling wrong) was exceptionally helpful and friendly. Definitely a bonus to the business.

Wonderful Hidden Gem of a Hotel and Breakfast was OUTSTANDING
Rooms are quiet and comfortable and well maintained and upgraded.
Shower was a little tight and needs some update to make a little safer for people stepping in and out. A grab bar or better flooring would help.
But overall WELL DONE

Hvolsvöllur is a small town (village?), but you can find restaurants, petrol station, supermarket here, therefore ideal base of excursions -for instance to the Golden Circle (North West) or Vik region (South West).
Nevertheless there is a very special facility, the Lava Centre which much be visited definitely.

The owners were very friendly.
The owners were very friendly. They help us even at midnight. The apartment was big, clean, enough for 6 people. The place was near by the Golden circle, Black beach and other attractions. Definitely recomend it.

The proximity to the ferry for the Westman Islands was the reason we chose this property - it was only 10mins drive from the ferry terminal. Additionally, the property is 1km from Seljalandfoss, meaning you can visit away from the busiest times of day. The cabins were literally on the ring road, making it easy to find but no need to worry about noise. A very good place to stay the night and enjoy all the amazing attractions between Seljanlandfoss and Vik.

The Lava Center is a phenomenal place to stop.
The Lava Center is a phenomenal place to stop. The exhibits are interactive and so well done, all ages will appreciate learning more about Iceland's volcanos.
We heard that there were tours for hiking out of this area, but the weather was way too extreme for us to check that out.
Clean. Very comfortable beds. Spacious room. Excellent kitchen/dining area as bonus space. Very quiet, despite a raging gale outside! Definintely one of the nicest guesthouses we've stayed at during our two trips to Iceland. Note that this guesthouse does not have a host onsite. Keycodes were delivered promptly via Booking.com messaging system along with detailed instructions and number to contact for assistance if needed. Was not an issue for us at all. Excellent cafe right around the corner for dinner.
This is a hotel, not hostel or guest house! This is advantage if you can use their restaurant (there is one), but it can be also a disadvantage. Anyway the room was spacious, clean and cosy. It was nice to spent some time in and relax. Hot tub (even 2x) was open untill late and was not crowded at all. Breakfast was good, and has some selection of dishes, so anybody can find something good. Stuff was very friendly, unfortunatelly not helpful... see below.
Even greater than expected, everything was of very high construction quality, very spacious room, also a spacious shower in the private bathroom, giant bed, very practical arrangement of all the things. Felt like a 4 star hotel, except that this place is in the middle of nowhere (which is a very positive thing, everything super quiet and you're close to nature). Good variety of breakfast, flexible check in and check out. Good self adjustable heating.
The best breakfast in Iceland! Very diffrent from the other hotels on the road aroud the island (just bread, boiled eggs and the same all). Nice cooking, really nice and fresh scrambled eggs. The place was really nice in the front desk area, a beautiful volcano right in front, the hot tub was nice to have some rest and hit the road aggain the next day. Great place to stay and continue exploring Iceland.
A very comfortable house for family or travelling couples - you have the sense that you are are away from the crowds and the views out of every window are fantastic. Very well equipped for cooking which we appreciated. The real treat was seeing a spectacular Northern Lights display one of the nights we were there!
Highly recommend for a slice of Iceland you won't forget.
Really great hotel to stay in the south of island. Unfortunately we’ve only been there for one night. The staff is very friendly and open for any questions. Delicious dinner at the restaurant and a perfect breakfast. The hotel offers a lot of activities like horse riding or hiking tours. Comfortable beds. We didn’t miss anything
The guy at the reception, the young ladies in the bar and restaurant are very friendly, helpful and professional ones.
The hotel has a very big parking place. Even the hotel has an own restaurant, but not too far from the hotel you find other opportunities as well.
The location of the hotel is good for Polar Light hunters. :-)
One of the most unique places you'll stay in Iceland. The pods are very comfortable. The kitchen is very well stocked with equipment and utensils. Very clean bathrooms and showers. Make sure you have a flashlight to get there during the night.
We liked everything about this place. Staff was fantastic/super friendly. Food was excellent. Room was very comfortable and quiet. Best was some special-event entertainment that we were able to attend. This place was our favorite in Iceland.
Rental is a full house lost in the Icelandic countryside, surrounded by horses. Beautiful view of Vestmannaeyjar from the house. Very quiet and practical with three bedrooms, a bathroom and a big living room and kitchen. I recommend it :)
The view from the hotel was amazing. There is a beautiful mountain behind it.
The towel and sheets were very cool.
The room was little bit small but it was enough for us.
There are two dogs, they were so kind and smart.
This is my fourth trip to Iceland and the second with my loving partner. She has never been to Seljalandsfoss waterfall and the rest of the beautiful area, this was a perfect location for us. Thank you!
Small very clean room that had everything we needed. Lovely staff/owner and great breakfast with coffee. The bathroom was the best we had in Iceland-would stay again!!
It is really a nice hotel. The staff is extremely friendly. The rooms are not big, but big enough.
The surrounding is quiet, for a good sleep.
It is nice and clean!
All staff was super friendly and the structure comfortable and clean. As well the restaurant was delicious.
Definitively the best place where we slept in Iceland!!
Close to main attractions in the South Iceland, quite and cozy palce, supermarket not far away from the property, nice restaurants was nearby (Valkhalla)
