We had a very pleasant stay! We only stayed here for 1 night because we were on a road trip. We arrived later than expected but everything was fine and communication with the owner was also good. The building is located a little higher on the mountains in the middle of nowhere. That made sure we had a great view! The surrounding nature is beautiful. Most of the equipments that you need are available, for instance tea, induction hob, small, but good bathroom- and bedroom facilities.

It’s a brand new cottage with everything you need. Comfortable, well arranged.
Good location to visit sites in SE Iceland. The room was very clean and comfortable. The meals were amazing. Lots of variety and everything was delicious. The owner was helpful with directions to site seeing spots and always pleasant even when busy with meals or other tasks.

Hrifunes is the perfect spot to stay if you are planning one...
Hrifunes is the perfect spot to stay if you are planning one exploring Vik and Diamond Beach. The cabins are clean and the views and paths to walk are excellent. The staff is very helpful and the meals if you choose to partake are excellent. We would definitely return to Hrifunes if the opportunity ever arises.
