We booked the house when we were stranded in Seydisfjordur by a hurricane. The host was easy to reach out by phone and was very helpful in allowing us to stay inside the house a bit longer after the check out time so that we could figure out our plan.

We stayed in one of their cabins located within woods close to main hotel. All guests now have good buffet breakfast available, but hotel no longer provides dinner. Lovely lounge available with great views. Staff friendly and helpful. We ate at Askur pizzeria which serves local beers too. Hotel about 10 min drive to main town and 1 hr from Puffin viewing at Hafnaholim. There is a modern cafe there too. Recommend a visit to Fardagafoss about 5 min drive & 30 min walk to waterfall with amazing views across the town.

Picturesque Cottage with beautiful surrounding, sheep, birds and ducks by the lake. Comfortable bed, good shower, kitchen fully equipped and an outdoor BBQ. Few mins drive to supermarket. We had a mechanic issue with our rental car, the host was very nice and let us stay extra few hours and came to rescue us, drop us off in town to wait for a replacement car.
