The superb location just by the sea. The ambience. The beautiful room ( though the attic could have been a little bigger...anyway I would not deduct any points for that). When we arrived at 8 AM, we could have left our luggage until check-in time, but 2 rooms were ready and we took an offer of early check-in for a reasonable fee. It was a great relief to unpack our bags and rest and freshen up before exploring Reykjavik.
I liked the location, which was away from the Center and therefore quiet. The Food Hall with several good choices was a short walk away.

ive already answered these questions twice. we paid for a superior room and got one. Neighborhood is out of the way but has great views and animals and is near the road to Costco. we spent 2 weeks driving the entire island and enjoyed it. This place has a theme tastefully done and modern amenities.The Viking Hotel restaurant where you check -in has a nice themed restaurant good food and service.

Hlid Fisherman's Village had lots of "viking" character with some very interesting maritime realia, close proximity to Icelandic horses, heritage chickens, a koi pond, cedar sauna and two rooftop hot tubs. The room was very clean, bed was comfortable and the view was to the sea.
