Must visit Location: Fundera Bird's Park, Go Karting (Not a big track but get some experience specially kids above 12 year who are fond of cars), One thrill valley is 4 to 5 hours.
Botanical garden is very small and not much of a variety. I do not know why they have keep entry fees. it is not worth. If some one wants to get Jain food, visit Jain's Royal for food. It is buffet.

The Fundura bird park is a gem. Walk through the bird enclosure was thrilling. The Selfie panda is another nice place to take pictures. It is an open air art gallery. It has a large number of art pieces for one to get photographed with
The boating in the lake is good, It is good to see that the boatmen insist on tourists wearing a jacket for floating in case of accidents.
The Nature park had a musical fountain on Sunday.
The boat club road is bustling with activity on weekends. We had breakfast and vegetarian lunch buffet at Hotel Hills. They were very good.
Just one word of caution. The autos and taxis are a rip-off and leave you with a poor taste.

This is a very small, clean hill station with a lake. There are enough activities for children, but nothing much to see. Some temples, kids' adventure activities. Weather is great. Comfortable drive, open highway, 3 hours from Bangalore. We saw one KSRTC bus too. Not too crowded when we went on a weekend in November.

The birds park also very good and maintained...
Apart from this the usual boating are not that well maintained.
If you are looking for a very cold place to stay then this might not be very cold like ooty or Yercad .. Own transportation is best choice..

Yelagiri is a little Hill Station about 222 Km away from Chennai. From Banglore also the the distance is same. It's a cool place and everything is concentrated around lake. Nature Park is worth seeing. Has large number of places to stay but double check as you might be surprised by the standards shown on web sites and and actual on ground. The food part requires more exploring.

It is good for only a one day stay if you are going to see places. But, if your idea is to stay there, you can be there for any number of days
There are very less hotels. Most f the hotels are operated by a single group and hence, they decide the price.
Perfect location on the Yelagiri Hills, approach road is little bit scary and need to be laid in proper manner, facilities and arrangements were great, staffs were friendliness. as the room walls are just made with a bamboo stick and tarpaulin, the outside noise of workers working around can be hear properly, this was quiet disturbing our privacy and who prepers calmness. Breakfast provided is of good and healthy one, cut fruits and vegetables, fenu greek water, ajwain water is impressive. soaked kissmiss is good idea.

The only minus we felt is, the lack of an elevator. If you are planning for a visit alongside family, do check with the staffs about the availability of rooms in the ground floor.
Closest to Boat House/Nature Park/Heart of City but slightly inside from the main road. Villa at ground floor only. Ideal for family stay with lesser budget specially for elder/senior persons. Staff are very polite and co-operative. Camp fire add value of the stay. Self prepare(Own taste) tea/meals can be possible.
The place is in the prime area where everything is nearby. It is well maintained and clean. The staff are kind and welcoming. Budget friendly and economical. A very good place to stay if you have a sound plan to wander around Yelagiri and if you are looking for a place to crash the day off.
Very worst place to stay.
In Booking.com the price shown for this Room is Rs.1600 approximately.
Based on that, I made a booking and went there for the stay and that time hotel management is saying that I need to pay Rs.3000 and the amount shown in the booking.com is wrong.
Property was very excellent and best suited for kids and family. KGS anna took care of us very nicely. Trekking is arranged upon request at a very nominal cost and we enjoyed it. Food was super tasty. Room is spacious. I would definitely recommend this property.

I very much recommend this hotel. They offered us a free late check out because we didn't get there until 11pm.
A little way from the centre but a calm and silent locale. They got us dinner from a nearby hotel, in a hot case so that food remains hot for a longer time. The staff were excellent. Morning breakfast was good too and sufficient
Location is excellent, if you need peace of mind away from people. If want to spend time with yourself. This is by far the best stay. I being a solo traveler. It was perfect for me. Will visit again when i go to Yelagiri Hills.
