The stay was very good, it was big enough for 2 people with all the facilities, the location is just 20m away from the cliff view, the varkala beach is just 5mins away. The rooms were very clean and the caretaker Akhil was very helpful , he arranged a rental scooter and dropped us to the bus stop on the day of check-out. The view for the sea from the avanthi restaurant is just beautiful.

Location is simply perfect!! Nice cliff view before reaching the property, Excellent sunset view by sitting inside the room. Staff was very polite and gave us good service. Food was amazing. Sea food are very delicious. Should try fish in banana leaf. We suggest every one and we will be back again soon.

I stayed in Varkala for 3 nights. This was mainly due to train timings. 2 nights would’ve been enough. I did a yoga class and auryvedic massage on the last day this would have been better in the second day.
What I did find slightly confusing was the references to North & South Cliff whereas I think South Cliff was an extension of the cliff walk - starting with North cliff.
Plenty of choice for food although a particular favourite was Sun Francisco - the Veg Tali was delicious and good value for money.

Varkala beach is busy very busy on weekends with lots of Indian tourists. The cliff side walk has lots of restaurants and shops. We found the beach a bit rough with the waves but beyond the waves it was calm . The stairs to the beach can be challenging if you have knee issues . It’s has a good atmosphere but we prefer less touristy places hence staying at Odayam each area .

Touristic place. So lots of restaurants with a large variety of meals, bars, shops, ressorts, loud music, massage.
Best restaurant is Clafouti for me.
Nice beaches, big temple.
This is a tourist destination. India' s soul not there. Crowdy, noisy, pushy salesmen, beggers, stray dogs.
Pretty dirty environment cause of littering.
2 to 3 days stay is enough.

Beautiful views from the cliffs, plenty of beaches, option to learn surfing (!), good food, and the most gorgeous mangrove/backwaters (30 mins away).... that's Varakala in nutshell. Lovely cliffside walks with breaks for some ice cream at Scoopy or a whole Israeli breakfast(yummmm) at Buddha Bar. We loved ABBA for all other hunger pangs. Having a rented scooter to go around the places away from the cliffs helps, but there were plenty of Autos as well.

Its took travel time is too far, Kerala roads are not good. Many people not follow traffic rules. Really upset to road travel to Kerala. Many sign boards are shown only in Malayalam Language, we struggled with read.
Except that places are really good and peoples also very friendly.
The room was quite awesome with price. The breakfast was very decent and the staff was polite and helpful at needy time. I had a peaceful day. From the room there is 100m to the north cliff view from there is absolutely wonderful. Near to the place there is a shop where we could buy needy things. Lassi thier pet dog was so adorable. I had second experience with this place and he helped me in rescheduling the date of visit.

Lovely atmosphere where you feel immediately at home. Many nice activities to meet new people like dinners together, yoga classes, games. The managers are very welcoming and helpful. The female dorm has AC and it’s very clean. The location is perfect, 5 mins from the main beach and the north cliff where you have plenty of bars and restaurants.
I loved my stay here and I can’t wait to come back. I totally recommend it to any backpacker passing by Varkala looking for meaningful connections.
We loved our stay at Kerala Cottage. The location is perfect, you step out the cottage and you’re 10 steps from a beautiful beach, and stunningly warm ocean.
It was great being just far enough from Varkala cliff to have serenity but also east access to all the restaurants and facilities. The major upside was the lack of others on the beach and not having to climb a cliff after a swim.
All the staff and management couldn’t help us too much, it was a great stay with great breakfasts!
Skyframe Villa, operated by Skyframe Beach Resort, is a calm homestay situated on the quiet Southern Cliff. It features several garden view rooms and provides easy beach access through the well-kept stairs of the Skyframe Beach Resort, positioned a few meters away. Guests have access to the Skyframe Beach Resort's ocean-facing garden. The staff is efficient and friendly, contributing to a positive atmosphere. I stayed there for four satisfactory nights.
Fantastic location being just 5mins walk away from the beach & about 15-20mins walk from the north cliff. Very quiet area & scooties on offer to hire. There is a kitchen available but you have to pay a little extra to use this facility. Bed fairly comfortable. The owner is very kind & helpful & sorted out any issues we had right away. Little things like mosquito repellent incense & toiletries made a bit difference too. Would stay again!
Clean spacious room with the bathroom and shaded balcony. Good location, close to the all happenings on the cliff and to my favourite Black Beach. The greenery around gives break from the heat.

I also appreciate the fact that there was always someone from management to help. I came way before check-in time as my train arrived in early morning and my room was ready in 15 minutes.
Beautifully thought out rooms each with their own balcony, perfect for breakfasting, reading, contemplating away from the bustle of Indian streets. A short walk from Varkala beach - 10 mins form the main cliff-top tourist restaurants and souvenir shops. Very friendly staff and owner - helpful researching and sorting our onward connections. Would definitely recommend.
Stayed here for 2 nights..we are 2 girls visited varkala for the first time..sajeev ji helped us very much..the breakfast was homemade by sajeev ji's wife and very good south Indian food and some fruits..had puttu for the first time..loved it💜

The location of the hotel is excellent. The location is within the posh area of Varkala North Cliff. One can enjoy all sorts of food during your stay. Though a cafe cum restro is inside the premises but there is limits in room services. The food is good but they used ajjina moto in their Chinese cuisines by claiming openly.
The cause behind this is so noble. Additionally the facility for stay was awesome. Personally I feel, Hari, Ram and Ma'am were very kind. They are probably the best find in varkala for me. Do check them out for stay at north cliff and share your efforts to their noble cause.
Wanted to love this place as been staying in basic and eco - friendly places back packing across India. Location right by small beach and sea path great, albeit 30 minutes walk to north cliff, 50 to south. Very nice manager sujesh and good baked bread . Water refills.
