I found local very friendly polite and helpful. City offers good restaurants, cafes, temples and park to chill. Only downside viswamitri river. Needs more care from local and governments. O P road offers good authentic gujarati food and cafes. Don’t forget to try Famous Jagdish sweets and savory. Make sure bring mosquito spreys.

People are so friendly and helpful, the only challenge is the language, a lot of people who are driving transportations such as Auto Riksha are not English speakers, but still can manage with sign language.

Vadodara is a clean and cool historical city for a stay. No heavy Hussle Bussle like commercial cities. Number of gardens and parks with huge plantations. A number of excellent food joints and restaurants. Convenient connectivity by rail, road, and air. Very comfortable and enjoyable city.
This is the new Sayaji Hotel, very near to the railway station and also not far from Airport. The rooms are of very decent size and cleanliness is great. Staff is very friendly and eager to assist for any support and queries. The food choices in Vadodara are plenty including in-room dining or restaurants below. Overall it was a very pleasant stay. Extension of my checkout timing was very promptly accepted (much appreciated).
I didn't really use the other facilities like pool (relatively very small) and gym on the top floor.
Lovely, lovely place. 5 star accommodation. The host was warm and welcoming and we enjoyed a delicious dinner with his family. The saag and corn chapatis were amazing. We thoroughly enjoyed his stories and his wife's travel recommendations. They made our trip to India memorable. We were sad we could not stay longer and enjoy all the available activities. Highest recommendation.
The receptionist name Mariam was very rude at some point as she call my sister is my girlfriend even though I told her. She made me feel very uncomfortable to stay here, Luckily Mr Rasheed the manager got involved and understood the situation and looked after my stay, receptionist Mariam needs to be replaced for the improve future of this hotel as she is negative for this business.
Gem of a property that I have stayed in twice, this time for a 5 night stint. Spacious rooms, decent kitchen facilities in the studio and the perfect location to base yourself in Vadodara for food, shopping, travelling, etc. Breakfast is pretty handy as well to start the day right and the staff professional. The staff were exceptional. Unfortunately our room flooded at 4 am. And the night staff immediately came to help and moved our room straight away, and laundered our clothes that got wet complimentary.
