It is a place most sought after for birthdays especially for landmarks like 50, 60, 70, 75, 80, ect. There are quiteva few temples araround . The temple has kal samhara moorthy not seen anywhere else. Poompugar is close by it has close association with the silapadhigaram. Autos are available to go around. Food you get good south indian items only.
