Start your journey from Dehradun to mussoorie early in the morning (around 6-7am so you can avoid endless traffic) and you will finish every tourist point till 4-5PM easily and go back to Dehradun.
Don't stay in mussoorie it's a pathetic place. Also skip kempty fall, not a worthy place to visit but must visit dalai hill. There isn't much exciting expecting hill view that we always get in such places.

Mussoorie is the Queen of Holl Stations. You get incredible views of the snow clad Himalayan ranges from many points.
It is a bustling town with great restaurants, fast food joints, multitude of hotels of all categories.
Happy Valley, a Buddhist centre with a temple are worth visiting, as is the Landour area with spectacular mountain views. There are very interesting Tibetan market stalls on The Mall road with bargain prices for various clothing and trinkets.
Weather is best from March to June and September to mid November, but an enjoyable destination year round. Easy access by car and only an hour away from airport and train station.

I liked Mussoorie. Next time if possible I will go again. People are very helpfull. The road from Picture Palace to Library Chowk is good morning walk. The cab drivers of Library chowk was very cooperative. I recommend travellers to visit Mussoorie and stay in a good hotel.

The best time to visit would be during the weekdays because during the weekends Mussoorie will always be busy!! I used to live (going to school) here back in the mid-80's and even though there have been a lot of changes in Mussoorie with many modernized hotels and other facilities but her charm is still there after 4 decades!!
But Mussoorie is still very charming as always!!
It was a wonderful stay at The Grand Valley. It's located in the city centre, near the Mall Road. The room was spacious and had a private cute small balcony to chill with an amazing view. The view from the hotel was mesmerizing. The best part about the whole stay. The washroom was clean. The staff was on time and polite. It was a smooth check-in check-out experience. Highly Recommended for future stays.
