Shri Kashi Vishwanath Mandir was the reason we went to Varanasi but we discovered more & more with each passing day. More Mandir, more stories and more discoveries.
The city never ceases to surprise you. Narrow streets, zillion shops, food all around and so many faces, you just cant stop getting overwhelmed. This city cant be absorbed in a single lifetime.
A must visit once in a life.
But yes, be prepared for CRAZY traffic because of Locals + Tourists.

If you’re planning a trip to India, one destination that...
If you’re planning a trip to India, one destination that absolutely must be on your itinerary is Varanasi. As the oldest inhabited city in the world and a sacred place for Hindus, Varanasi offers a profound experience that bridges the gap between past and present. The city’s timeless ambiance immerses you in history while maintaining a vibrant connection to contemporary life. Its bustling streets, teeming with people and infused with chaotic energy, add an undeniable charm to this enigmatic city.
Varanasi is a treasure trove of culture and tradition, offering visitors a deeper understanding of Indian faiths, religions, and society. From the mesmerizing Ganga Aarti ceremonies on the ghats to the labyrinthine lanes of the old city, every corner of Varanasi tells a story of spiritual significance and cultural richness. Exploring its ancient temples, engaging with local rituals, and witnessing the ebb and flow of life along the sacred Ganges River are experiences that will stay with you long after you’ve left.
Moreover, Varanasi’s culinary scene is a delight for food enthusiasts, offering a diverse array of flavors and delicacies that tantalize the taste buds. Whether savoring mouthwatering street food or indulging in traditional Banarasi cuisine, every meal in Varanasi is a culinary adventure.
In essence, a visit to Varanasi is not just a journey through space, but also through time and spirituality. It’s an immersion into the essence of India, where ancient traditions coexist harmoniously with modern realities, leaving an indelible mark on the soul of every traveler.

Varanasi is a pilgrimage city, heritage city with a history...
Varanasi is a pilgrimage city, heritage city with a history of 3000 years. It has a very special appeal and charms to Indians and for foreigners willing to explore India. For me it was a memory revisited after more than 50 years. Varanasi is a place to experience spiritual -the temples, Ganga Aarati, evening cruise - to happy indulgences - famous eateries of so many varieties, shops for souvenirs, Varanasi sarees and everything else, all within a small place.
However, the surging and unmanageable crowd coupled with absolutely chaotic and undisciplined traffic that do not allow even a bit of personal space bore one down very soon.
Well, still it's an experience to enjoy it to the full.

Benaras or Varanasi is the best place to stay for spiritual...
Benaras or Varanasi is the best place to stay for spiritual transformation and staying close to Ghats by the River Ganga makes it more beautiful to spend time from the hustle and bustle of city life. Best place to perform Yoga and Meditation very early in the morning during sun rise at the ghat. Morning and evening Ganga Aarti is the best attraction to feel the warmness of Hindu Spirituality. Street Foods at Varanasi is at the best with popular joints such as Vatika Pizzeria at Assi Ghat, Popular Batti Choka, Kashi Chaat Bhandar, Shreeji Sweets, Pappu Chai wale etc. to name a few joints to dine and eat food.
Excellent. Best view you will get of the Ganges for a budget traveller.
Staff are very friendly and hospitable to any enquiry you have.
Food is cooked from scratch. It’s top notch and fresh. Tasty.
It’s India so rooms can be a little “different” but overall it’s a great deal.
There is a private “shared” balcony for a couple of rooms and a big communal balcony for everyone in the hotel.
I would advise you to book if you travel on a budget and like a friendly atmosphere.
I guaranteed my booking with a valid credit card, yet I was contacted by the hotel via WhatsApp (platform other than Booking.Com) demanding a booking deposit. I took a cab to the hotel, and the location of the hotel is different from the one provided on Booking.Com. Lastly, I was told by the "receptionist" that the hotel does NOT accept non-Indian nationals (basically international travellers!!!!). What an experience!!!! Mystic Varanasi
Very lovely staff that were incredibly helpful and happy to help. Really good food at any time of day which was a life saver after a long hard travel day.
Really recommend an early morning boat trip booked through the hotel. Picked up at 5am and taken to a boat to see the morning ceremonies and the ghats coming to life. Best thing I did in Varanasi and very reasonable price and made easy by the hotel.
Clean & hygienic rooms.. Location close to Dashashwamedh Ghat... The best thing of this hotel as everyone mentions in their review is the Owner, Mr. Singh... He is so humble & full of knowledge about anything & everything of Varanasi...The way he explained small small things, no guide can do.. You just can't stop listening to him... Truly a Blissful stay at Anand Kanan..
We had a three day stay here..The place is amazing..
The hotel staff is very friendly..One of the best location of Varanasi ..Everything is nearby..It's 5 min walk from Assi ghat and all the good restaurants like Potli Batti Chokha is nearby..
It is 2 km from BHU ....The rooms along with washrooms are very clean...
We had an amazing time, one of the best places to stay in Varanasi for sure. The staff is so nice, the rooms are very clean and we even got a birthday cake because it was my husband's birthday.
They recommended also a yoga place in the city centre which was really good!
I would definetely recomend the hotel!

Great Location with full view of Ganga.
Hotel Ganga Monastery is the best hotel in Varanasi, suitable for Pilgrim tourists and business travelers. The best part of the hotel is the Reception Manager and other staffs, they are very cooperative and provide prompt service with a smile.
Didn’t Not like Anything. No value for money. Even there are lot of other hotels/Ashram with much cheaper rates (starts with 500 Rs.) followed by nice ambience, river view & temple view balconies, Humble request to everyone is not to opt for Stay Inn Heritage.
Lovely and amazing hotel. I have been to Varanasi with family. Hotel is the good location and suitable for family member. I booked the hotel on booking.com and got best of the price. Room was big and quality of food was good with reasonable price
