The view from our room overlooking the sea and the harbor was everything I had hoped for.
The bed was very comfortable, firm not saggy.
Helped us with an illness.

Room was a great size, as was the bathroom. Bed was comfy and the location of the hotel is fantastic. We had a lovely partly sea view. Having a pool is a real bonus.

Location is perfect - DL, restaurants, DART, bus are all a stone's throw. Streets around are very quiet (one way). Quality depends on what room you get. Staff are really friendly and happy to help. Wifi really fast. You can use the fridge (in the front room), and there's a mini-kitchen with microwave.

The room and location were exceptional.
The front desk staff was very professional and helpful for all questions we had. Ordering taxis for us so promptly was much appreciated.
Near the capital and yet a totally different experience.
Near the capital and yet a totally different experience. Wonderful little cafés. Farmers' market on Sundays in a nearby park. Nice beaches! I'd recommend it to all visitors of Dublin as a complementer experience, especially in the summer. Use the Dart to Trinity (Pearse Street stop). Way faster than bus 46a.

Location was excellent.
Location was excellent. It is really easy to get around Dun Laoghaire. There are lovely shops and restaurants in Dun Laoghaire. There is also a theatre and cinema. The walk down the Promenade all the way to the lighthouse is a must visit!! Teddy's icecream is a lovely treat afterwards, classic 99 icecream. The staff in the hotel were welcoming and helpful. Our room was tastefully decorated with all requirements met. Sumptuous breakfast. Beautiful spa and pool for R&R. Lovely lobby area to relax overlooking the sea. Really nice bar. Overall a really good vibe to the hotel.

We used it mainly as base to visit Dublin (it's 20-30 minutes by tram) but spent some time walking down the harbour, it's quite beautiful and you can see people learning sailing. There's some museums and monuments worth visiting (sadly we didn't have enough time), and good places to eat. Make sure you try the fish & chips by the waterside. We were actually there for their local St. Pat's parade and it was such a great time!

Dun laoghaire is a special place to me.
Dun laoghaire is a special place to me. My gran swam almost every day in sandy cove. I've raced ironman 70.3 also from sandy cove. And the pier is always a place of memories as my aunt also lived nearby. I learned to sail in the harbour on visits as a kid. The town has a lively lovely coastal vibe.

Hotels offers a wonderful Breakfast for 15 euros and standard Pub menu for dinner usually with a daily special. The Pub was first rate and has plenty of beverages to select from, I would suggest a pint of Guiness. Parking is adequate although a little tight for larger sedans. The rooms are very well kept and bathrooms are supplied well. Staff is very helpful and friendly. I plan to use this Hotel for future visits to the Dublin area.

It is a beautiful hotel in a lovely area.
It is a beautiful hotel in a lovely area. We had no view, so we couldn't really enjoy it. We were there for such a short time it was wasted on us. The room had a smell like sewer, but the beds were comfortable. The reservations desk seemed a little clueless.
The breakfast was really expensive, so we couldn't eat there and when i got recommendations for restaurants by the water, the reservationist lady only recommended one restaurant, Hardies, which was affiliated with the hotel. It was hard to get into and there were at least two other restaurants we could go to.
If you want to experience what Ireland once was, book a night in this mini period house. I liked it very much. The room has a character of bygone times. The owners keep everything clean and tidy. With a map I found it without any difficulty. It was only a short 4 minute walk from Glenageary Dart Station. I chose traditional breakfast which was filling and very tasty. I'm grateful for this lovely experience.
Great location in Dun Laoghaire with free parking at hotel. Close to DART station as we went into Dublin.
We walked along the coast to Dalkey and had some food from MUGS and sat outdoors [food was so good - toasties]. Close to shops as well.
Swimming pool was excellent.
Enjoyed the meal in Hardy's Bar.
Good selection at breakfast including pancakes to order.
Front seating area was relaxing.
Superb location. Close to some of the Dublins most popular swimming spots and walking routes. 20 minutes to the city center by the Dart train. Picturesque views from the windows. Lovely homely atmosphere and very pleasant staff. Definitely book this place if big busy hotels are not your thing and if you love the sea. My family will be returning here on their next trip to Dublin.
Nothing! couldn't stay there had to pay to stay in another hotel, absolutely filthy, looked like a homeless hostel, alot of foreign men coming and going, not sure why it's on booking.com. I was there with my daughter and her baby, we were to afraid to stay, so we had to book the Rochestown lodge hotel, so I'm down over a hundred euros
Booked a room only, sea view room. Got rm 639- in the modern block of the hotel but still had the same aura of the older Victorian main hotel. Nice spacious room with lovely views over Dun Laoghaire harbour and Dublin Bay. Arrived very early and were lucky enough to get facilitated with early check-in. Great start.
Lovely property in a nice quiet location
Very easy check in and good communication from hosts before regarding location and parking etc
Easy walk to DART to get into Dublin with trains running regularly and close to ferry port too
Spacious comfortable room with en suite bathroom
Extremely clean
Nice breakfast
The owners are very kind, they also run a restaurant nearby. The breakfast is delicious and the house is clean and full of historic charm. Finally, Claremont House Is located in a lovely position, near the sea and Dun Laoghaire. Also, it is only 20-30 minutes by train from Dublin. I recommend it!
Great set up with bar/restaurant close to reception and pool area/car park underground level very practical.
Staff are very good very accommodating. Clean hotel with spacious rooms and comfortable beds - essential for an insomniac! Will come back again.
Thank you to the friendly staff.
The room was perfect for the 5 of us enough space, beds very comfortable. Breakfast was lovely loads of everything and great selection. My husband said it was the finest breakfast he has had in a hotel. Easy to travel to. our room was lovely and quiet.
The best thing is the location. Dun Laoghaire is beautiful, 1/2 hour from Dublin downtown via DART, and many amenable places to eat. It's also a quiet and relaxed neighborhood. The bedroom was clean. It offers an electric kettle and oreo cookies.
Lovely hotel. It should be 4 star in my opinion. Free parking, very clean, lovely extras in the room like toothbrush, toothpaste, hot water bottle, beach bag, coffee machine, shower gel+hand lotion. It was a lovely hotel
The only thing this property has going for it is location. It is convenient to the rail station into Dublin. Otherwise, it is not worth staying here and I suspect there are other options in the area, equally convenient.
This hotel is a bit of a gem in Dun Laoghaire. We are local and stayed for one night as a break from the kids. We had a great room with a beautiful view of Dun Laoghaire harbour. Lots of nice touches in the room.
The staff were so friendly and accommodating. The hotel itself is beautiful and is in the center of the waterfront. The grounds on a sunny day are delightful! It's an easy walk to everywhere.
Excellent location by the Irish sea. Great walkway along the marina. Great location transportation to the city and surrounding tourist spots. Excellent all around historic hotel
I would highly recommend the Haddington House to my friends and family. Our room was clean and neat well maintained. The staff went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable.
