We were looking for a remote, but not too remote, location. And we found it in Dunmore House. The beach walks and trails are perfect, or just sitting by to watch the tides. The host was beyond anyone's expectation, especially for a hotel this size. The in-house restaurant serves some of the best meals we had in Ireland, most were fresh from their gardens on site. Spend a night, spend a week, you'll be rejuvenated in more ways than you can count.

Clonakilty was recommended to us by a friend as she had visited with family on a holiday. Loved this little seaside town, which had plenty to offer in the way of things to see and do. We could easily have spent a few days here happily, relaxing or looking for a bit to get out and do. I feel that as travellers on an international trip, it gave us a great opportunity to experience what I saw as the real Ireland - a true little town which held such history and a passion for its people. Would recommend anyone to go and spend some time there.

I was there to attend a wedding.
I was there to attend a wedding. I did not take a car so I did not see much of Clonakilty itself. I think a car is necessary as it is just outside Clonakilty. I did see the sea and beaches from the taxi and they looked nice.

Great town with lots of pride and several fun cultural experiences. The Clonakilty Black Pudding Visitors Center was great. The Clonakilty Distillery is a great tour and tasting experience. The downtown is cute and walkable. The people are kind and it's central to many great communities nearby.

Fab little town, everything is so close together.
Fab little town, everything is so close together. Really wished we'd stayed longer & are already planning a return in the Summer. Didn't eat in any of the restaurants as we only ate in the hotel but the menus of many of the eateries looked great!

Lovely quaint old world charm town.
Lovely quaint old world charm town. Very colourful and clean. Great selection of shops and information of things to see and do in the area. Take the train for a tour around the town for all ages. Lovely location as a base for exploring deeper into west Cork or just relaxing in one of the many beaches in the area. If you get the weather there is no place to beat this part of Ireland.

Fun, friendly town, with lots of cute pubs and really good restaurants.
Great taxi service, Nial Johnson has electric luxury cars for regular price, really fun. Dinner at Camus with guest chef, Caitlin Ruth was amazing.
You don't need a car, bus goes all the way to cork and past Skibbereen.
Absolutely beautiful property inside & out. the park-like surroundings made it feel so private and relaxing. The cottage was wonderful. The owners have gone to great lengths to create a clean, comfortable environment for your stay. Cottage #4 has a comfortable bed, step-in shower, well equipped kitchen & sofa to watch the large flat screen TV. I enjoyed my stay completely. I just wish I’d been able to use the swimming pool, but it just never happened. The pool & patio area are very inviting.
Hotel was well located right on the main street and was easy to find. I was travelling by motorcycle and there was good secure accomodation for my bike.
Staff at reception were really helpful with my check in and directing me to somewhere to park. Room was a decent size annd was fine for my one night stop over. The shower (although an over bath type) was really quite good and welcome after a day on the bike.
Breakfast was cooked to order and it was good.
Everything was fabulous. Jean Luc and Ina were kind and gracious hosts. The property is beautiful and quiet with private parking and entrance. Coco the dog and the chickens often come to say hi throughout the day. The drive to Clonakilty is about 10 minutes. You're about 70 minutes from Cork, Kinsale, and Cobh which are easy day trips. I cooked dinner each night in the cottage and the facilities were great. Wifi was also strong. Highly recommend this cottage.
What a lovely hotel set in stunning surroundings overlooking the bay, staff food and everything quality. When im working in Cork i would normally stay in a hotel in the town centre but they have got seriously expensive, this is where the Dunmore House Hotel comes into its element as you get a fantastic hotel with the personal touch in a stunning location at a cost less that you will pay in the town centre, well worth the extra few miles to drive
It was a home from home. It was cosy and warm. The staff were like friends and couldn't do enough for you. I would highly respect this hotel to all.
The most important thing for me was having my dog withe. Together we enjoyed the beautiful beaches and lighthouses. Walking and site seeing in the west of Ireland was relaxing and beautiful.
Ardnavaha House is an excellent property located in beautiful countryside outside of Clonakilty. Our apartment was very good with all expected facilities, which was much appreciated. Location was excellent to access Kinsale and surrounding area, with great beach walks around Clonakilty. Gerard and Ann were great hosts.
The staff were really helpful, and courteous, any request wasn’t an issue for them. The rooms were spacious, clean and comfortable. They were well stocked with towels, and toiletries. The location was excellent, as it was central to attractions , and amenities, would stay again, and recommend the hotel to anyone.
only 5 mins from the centre, the house is beautiful and very tidy. homie and clean.
Bernie and Dermott are very friendly. we got stuck in the wedding’s hotel and Bernie collected us. it was very important to us. she didn’t need to do it but she did. we are very grateful!!
The location of this hotel is superb, Inchydowney beach which is directly accessed is one of the most beautiful in Ireland and all rooms face out to the sea, the staff are welcoming and friendly, the pool and spa are exceptional, it is just a fabulous spot.
The Breakfast was great and the location was very good. Good location for exploring the West of Ireland. Not too far from Baltimore for Boat trips to the Islands. Our six year old enjoyed The model Railway Village in Clonakilty.
third year going to the Clonakilty park, fantastic family hotel with everything you need and amazing location. pool is fab, there’s kids pools also, fab playground and indoor play area. great bar staff and lovely food as always.
Absolutely gorgeous! We will definitely be returning with the family and staying longer. We are visiting friends in Galbally, and this was an easy drive to Inchydoney. Perfect little get away to visit West Cork and the coast.
The hotel is a lovely building in a fab location. I was travelling alone and in comparison with the other places I stayed in Clonakilty, felt it was a little less friendly and welcoming. But regardless it was great.
Excellent place to stay, great access to beautiful countryside. Great views great room. Very pri ate very nice. Very clean . Loved it!!! Great bed and layout of room. Just a couple miles to downtown.
Beautiful hotel in a gorgeous part of Ireland. I told the receptionist that it was my special birthday and I got a lovely box of chocolates. They also offered us a complimentary drink. Very nice.
Fabulous spot in West Cork. Ideal for Long Strand, Clonakilty, Kilbrittain, Castlefreke. Comfortable bed and tremendous rainforest shower. We will be back especially to see Coco the dog.
Very comfortable and clean. Staff were friendly and polite. Two meals taken in the bar were tasty and well presented. The location is perfect just off the town centre.
The staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel was located in the town centre. The room only cost €50 but it failed to live up to the look of the hotel as a whole
