Hotel Genggong, hotel in Candidasa

Set on the beach in the famous Candidasa diving area, Hotel Genggong features an outdoor pool with a relaxing terrace and garden. Rooms include free Wi-Fi, a seating area and balcony.

Overall this hotel is amazing. I usually go to Nusa Lembongan for beautiful ocean views and clean water, but it's right here, just 90 minutes from Ubud! The town doesn't have much, so would not recommend for a long stay, but it's absolutely wonderful for a peaceful getaway. Pros: -Absolutely STUNNING views and grounds (every room is an ocean view) - Quiet, peaceful, gorgeous pool, lots of sun (even in rainy season) - Wonderful, friendly staff - Very clean rooms, each with a little patio and chairs - Literally steps to the ocean, and the beach is clean

Absolutely lovely place right on the beach! So peaceful and beautiful. The entire staff were absolutely wonderful, so kind and friendly and helpful in every way possible. They made us feel so welcome and happy to be there. The food was very good at the restaurant. The view from pool and lawn chairs was amazing. Sunsets awesome! Our room was huge and had a small kitchenette which was very convenient and a balcony with a beautiful ocean view.

There's not a whole lot to do in Candidasa unless you take one of the trips on offer. There's no beach to speak of so swimming in the ocean isn't possible. There's only one road and it's used by all the traffic travelling along the coast - which makes it very noisy and crossing the road can be an adventure. Lots of the restaurants focus on western cuisine - pasta and pizza feature prominently - but there are some that offer fabulous Balinese and Indonesian dishes. The best I found was called Bintang - fabulous local food and very reasonably priced in a very pleasant setting.

Wonderful starting base for exploring quiet beaches, waterfalls, forest. A visit to the oldest traditional village with traditional handicrafts was exceptional for me. Virgin Beach is one of the best beaches in Bali. Prices are much lower than in others tourist regions.

It is quiet and the amosphere captures you and sends you to a piece of heaven on earth! Yor forget time and you are just happy to exists and be here ! Typical Bali 5 star service and smiles ! the food was excelent and appertisers were large and sooooo tasty,, Prices were so reasonable !The chefs are artists ! the grounds are manicure and flows with the water earth and sky ! We took trips snorkling and snorkling and fishing for half a day for 500,000rpn you can negotiate but it is a very fair price! had a amazing time and sites with local fisherman from the docks 50 feet away.,You melt in to the settings culture and food and get recharged,,We were happy to spend most of our time here at the resort!

This is a sweet town. We came here specifically to experience Nyepi day and the festivals leading upto Nyepi. Ogoh-Ogoh parade was awesome. This is a sweet town out of the business of other places in Bali.

Its a small village, one street lined with Warungs, a main supermarket Gemini, two smaller Alfa Marts and tourist shops selling clothing, wooden goods and local Bali souvenirs. Crossing the road is a challenge as the road is a main route from West to East and vice versa. The lily ponds towards the East of the village are very pretty, with the rice fields at the western end of the village, other than dicing with the traffic by day its a quiet village with friendly locals. Most of the Warungs further away from accommodation will offer free pick up and drop off. We ate at Lu Putu, Le Zat, Kangaroo bar all with pick up and went to Bali Palms with pick up when the NO Nekos Band were playing. A trip to Amed and Virgin beach for snorkeling, Water and Floating Palace then relaxing massage with the calming sound of the sea at the resort! Oh and a trip to Monkey Bar with its amazing infinity pool, Buddha statue situated up in the hills!

Certainly it’s the location that makes this place special. It was our 4th place in Bali and we can say that the location is one of the best. The sea is really clean and beautiful, if you manage to enter it though . The coral and lots of fishes are easily to find if you like snorkeling. The staff is very helpful and friendly. Breakfast is delicious. For dinner go to local restaurants, literally there are a couple good ones 500 meters from the hotel, it will save you a lot of money and the food is delicious!

The hotel has a cute vibe going in the cottages and around the pool area. The cottage was well equipped with a very comfortable bed and sheets and plenty of furniture. Some areas are a bit run down as everywhere in Bali. Clean bathroom and nice outdoor area View of the lily pond from the breakfast area New outdoor furniture throughout the hotel area Restaurant had a middle eastern vibe which looked interesting but it was mostly empty Cosy pool area for relaxing

Everything. The design of the restaurant and the view from the step to the infinity pool and the ocean is absolutely gorgeous! The breakfast is probably the cherry on top with a good buffet with iced lemon tea on demand and homemade jam which are amazing 😍 I can only recommend this place. Great location if you want to visit the East of Bali. If that's not enough the best Warung (BUDIAYU) of the island is next to the hotel

I loved my 4 night stay at Bali Santi bungalows. I was lucky to get an upgrade but honestly all the rooms looked great. Mine was super spacious, with a comfy bed and large outdoor bathroom plus all the usual amenities. The gardens are well kept and there is a great infinity pool right on the beach, the spa was excellent too (thanks girls). All the staff were friendly, Adi provided the most assistance but they were all helpful.

We liked everything about the property. Good location has access to the lotus pond beside the hotel. I noticed there’s a temple we could walk up to and near Pasir Putih (white beach) but I didn’t get a chance to explore. Nice pool which was right in front of our room which feel like it’s a private pool.

Next to the calmest waters in Bali and it has a beautiful view of the ocean. The staff is very nice and the location is next to an Indomart convenience store. The beach is just behind the hotel, so it's easy to get to and enjoy- do watch the first step as it is very steep!
