The place it self is really nice, good position if you don't want to stay in the center.
Our rooms (bungalows ocean view 1 and 2) were nice and comfortable, the swimming pool outside clean and the stuff very nice. We had nice coffee and nice breakfast, served in the room.

This business runs by a family that also living there .
So it just like we are staying with the lokal.
They grew some berries,corn, edamame,etc around the property and we get a chance to enjoy them.
There is Warung bu Widi close by that serve delicious Indonesian foods if you need lunch and dinner.
Definitely we will coming back there when we visit Banyuwangi.

Great city to visit if you want to hike up Gunung Ijen for sunrise. It's an icnredible hike, not too difficult, with some of the best views we have seen in all our 8 months travelling Southeast Asia. Banyuwangi was a very clean and friendly city with lots of cheap restaurants and we felt very safe walking in the evening. Stay at Snooze Ijen if you visit here!

There are lot of beautiful things there in Banyuwangi: wonderful Mt. Ijen with one of 2 blue fires in the world, many beautiful nature both mountains, waterfall also ocean nature and savannah, cultures, traditional music/dances and typical food, etc.. etc.

There are plenty of lovely places to visit in Java and Banyuwangi is not one of them. However if you drive 30 minutes into the mountains there was some lovely homestays with views of the padi fields and dense forest which I would recommend.

Banyuwangi is one of the best place to be as it is not crowded like Bali or Jakarta or Bandung or even Surabaya. It is an underrated tourist destination which is more relaxing with much cheaper hotel rates and food. You can find Rumah Apung Bangsari, Bajulmati Reservoir, Baluran National Park, Savannah Bekol, Bama Beach, Kawah Ijen Sunrise, Blue Fire Crater, Jagir Waterfall, De Djawatan Forest, Mongrove Swamp, Mustika Beach, Pulau Meran Beach Sunset, Gandrung Dance and many more.
There are plenty of hotels and home stays and a heaven for culinary. It is the place to be and not in Kuta, Legian or Seminyak. Look for something different. Come over to Banyuwangi.

Banyuwangi just like a lite version of Bali and Java. Lot of thing you can do in here, hike mountain, got relax in beach, local food (mostly my favorite is pisang goreng), etc. There was lot of helpful person who helped me reach to my destination.
Lovely staff and family that ran the homestay. Very accomodating of our late check-in time.
Agus was a very friendly and helpful with organizing the Kawah Ijen tour. Gave good recommendations of local areas in Banyuwangi to explore!
The homestay is right near Banyuwangi Kota station and therefore very easy to arrive to/check out of via the train. Very quiet despite the proximity to the station.
We stayed during the end of Ramadan and Eid Al Fitri, so everywhere was very busy. I recommend staying here for a very good value for money.
Everything Was Amazing! I Would Like To Thank All The Staff, Especially To Mba' Lila & The Driver Who Helped To Pick Us Up When We Were Trapped In A Heavy About 10 Minutes From The Hotel. The Location Is Surrounded By Paddy Field And River Which Is So Relaxing. They Also Provide Bikes And We Went To A Waterfall, Not Too Far From The Hotel. Breakfast Was Amazing..., Love The Omurice!

It is not far from Ijen, ~30 min drive, so we got off from the hotel to the Ijen tour at 1:00am and we arrived early - as Ijen opens at 2am. Room is a bit small but quite comfy, the bath room is quite big though, and there is a nice big hottub. The environment overall in the hotel is very nice and you can get a traditional view; there is well designed garden view and small river. The restaurant is nice too, we got cheap and tasty food there

Location is great if you're there for one or two nights and/or if you arrive/depart from Banyuwangi Kota (they even offer a ride to the train station). Aside from that there's absolutely nothing around that area.
Recommend booking the Ijen tour with them. Their guide Ali is amazing!

Hotel staff was very hepful, recommended 24 hours clinic nearby, when Puskesmas across the street was closed. We needed health certificate to access Ijen crater. The staff also lent us umbrella since it was raining everday
The distance is only about 100 meters from Banyuwangi kota stasiun and about 2km from the bus stasiun to Denpasar.
They have a motorbike rent service which make our stay easier.
The hotel theme is cute, the food in the cafe is good and cheap with the portion that they have.

Staff was great, you see the difference between a hotel and a family run business as it's here the case - you feel very welcomed, they are warm and ready to share their stories with you and you will get all the help/information you need.
Excellent home stay experience! Hosts are incredibly kind and helpful (like arranging a ride with their friends to get us to Malang the next day!), breakfast and other foods at homestay are delicious, rooms are cozy and comfortable and location works well. We booked Ijen crater through the hotel which was a great experience.

The grounds were kept in amazing condition and the views were breathtaking. Nice place to relax and they do a good job running the hotel in such a remote location. Air was really fresh and cooler than in the city, which made the pool really refreshing.
