I absolutely loved my stay here. The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly and they arranged for me to be able to hire ab electric bike which was a brilliant experience - highly recommend. The hotel is just over the road from a lovely swimming spot on Balaton

In an Apartment was everything that you needed. I also liked the Lavender Soap in the bathroom, cause the Tihany is known for the Lavender fields and they made a bunch of stuff out of it. We didn't have far to walk to the City, where we could see the old houses of Tihany. There we drank Lavender Lemonade, Lavender Wine, Lavender liquor and Lavender beer. I forgot to taste the Lavender Ice cream so next year I need to come back 😅
Last year I visited the other side of Lake Balaton and I saw that Tihany is very calm and quiet, which is also good for those who want that.
We did need to walk a little more to the beach.. but if you don't want to Walk, then you can take the Bus, Taxi or you can rent a bike.
Our only regret was that we did not extend our stay in the apartment as our vacation passed too quickly.

It is the most romantic and beautiful place I've ever been! The view is gorgeous! The room was clean, warm and cosy. There was everything we need. The owners are kind, welcoming, helpful and positive. The breakfast was delicious and hearty. Thank you very much!
The city centre can be reached on foot in 30 minutes.
Beautiful excursion place - Hungarian Provence. I recommend visiting outside the main tourist season. The prices are higher, but the place offers an excellent starting point for walking, cycling or car tourism around Lake Balaton.

The town is small and quiet-ish.
The town is small and quiet-ish. There are some nice hikes worth taking, especially at sunset. (check the Guard Tower Area and the )
Not sure if it's all year round, but in September many of the restaurants and terraces were closing at 18:00 local time.
You can take the long route north to get to Tihany, but the ferry is faster and not that expensive (in 2023 about 10 EUR for 1 car + 1 person).

It is a little town but you can entertain yourself for 2-3 days easily. Many restaurants with a great food offers. All is about lavender products: soaps, perfumes, beer, ice cream... Very interesting.
Kecskeköröm Csárda with live traditional music, Tihany Retro Pizzeria, Lavender Garden Tihany and Gulyás udvar Étterem are restaurants to recommend.
Kilometers of cycling trails. A bigger town, Balatonfured, just 5 kilometers away so if you need more fun go there.

Access to the village without a car is a little awkward although during 0900 to 1800 a motorised train with about six small carriages operates at about 20 minute intervals.
There are a number of souvenir type shops and lavender and lavendula is in abundance.

We booked with breakfast and dinner included in the room rate. Breakfast was very good with plenty of selections, for dinner we had to choose between two offerings but was acceptable for the price. Dinner was also available a la carte. The hotel is very quiet, room was clean, good parking, we enjoyed the nice private beach and the the patio with a beautiful lake view (sunrise is spectacular from the beach). Definitely would stay there again and recommend it to others.
Really nice and helpful owners. Friendly atmosphere. Rooms clean and nice. Tables to sit outside in the garden. You can order beverages with very good prices. Air conditioners in the rooms. Private parking. Hotel is placed in great location, aside of the city. To get to the Tihany center 30 min by walk or 3 min by car. I really enjoyed the time spent in the hotel. Will back here!
Location by the bank of the Balaton like is a big plus. Proximity to the ferry as well.
In general whole complex has been well though years ago - it has a hotel with inside pool, children pool, spa, gym, sauna. Outside water slide, play ground, kids' club etc.
