Hotel has great location, in the historic city center. It's not every day that you have the opportunity to spend the night in a place like this. It used to be a monastery and you can still feel this specific atmosphere. We spent one night here on our way to vacation. Staying at Hotel Klastrom was a good choice, especially since we could have breakfast here.
In addition, Gyór is beautiful and we regret that we couldn't stay longer, because there are many interesting and charming places here that we didn't manage to visit.

I really enjoyed my stay and highly recommend it.
Great ambiance - the highlights were the staff, namely the service we received from one of the personnel, which unfortunately I do not recall his name, and the great garden.
I recommend one improvement to the check-in process. The instructions for the self-service check-in arrived late and only by mail and it was difficult to get phone assistance. I suggest you check the process; see that the guests actually recieve the instructions on time and maybe provide add a 24*7 WhttsApp support.

A wonderful surprise for us.
A wonderful surprise for us. We were planning to stay over for one night to break up a long drive and thoroughly enjoyed the place. It has an amazing vibe, beautiful city centre and a lot of places to shop and eat. If you are planning to go by car, and park in the city, it's easiest to use parking buildings, as street parking only accepts Hungarian forints.

We were in Gyor during snowy December morning. The city is very nice, with a very big historic core for its size and many alive streets and shops comparing to other cities of this size in the region. Plus, it is much cheaper comparing bigger cities in vicinity.
It seems that Gyor is somehow touristicly "invisible" from bigger cities nearby - Vienna, Budapest, and Bratislava.
Please, leave at least one full day for Gyor!

It has beautiful baroque architecture, fasionable shops, great restaurants and cake shops to die for. The people are lovely and very helpful. Taxis are relatively cheap. The only down side was the cobbles which get very slippy in the rain.

Very nice historical city.
Very nice historical city. I love cities by river, so I enjoyed my stay very much.
I even had a dinner at the boat in Westy Hajó Étterem & Pub and it was very tasty.
In restaurants they spoke good English and it was possible to pay by card everywhere.
I took a ride with little tourist train (to be paid by cash, they accepted Euro).
I recommend also to visit Pannonhalma Archabbey which is 20 min by car away. It has beautiful library and you can do nice walk in the botanical garden.
It was however hard to search info in English as many pages and information are in Hungarian.
A lovely hotel set in a pedestrian part of Györ. They send you instructions on how to enter with a car. There are bollards which go down when you enter the area. The entrance to the underground garage is quite tight.
Room was lovely with good comfy bed. Very helpful staff recommended a great restaurant which served vegetarian food.
Really nice breakfast plenty of choice including fried eggs,sausage and bacon plus pancakes cheese slices,cold meats, bread rolls, salad, good coffee .
The beds were very comfortable. The food was amazing, we ate twice there and it was fabulous. Mangalita short ribs, bbq brisket, beef consome and duck parfait were the best food I ever had anywhere în Europe. În the middle of the night someone made very loud love în the hotel garden which motivated us to do the same. I am really impressed and will definitley go back everytime I pass through Gyor.
Very nice hotel, an old (large) monastery in the centre of Győr with very spacious rooms. The bathroom was fine - small and not luxurious. The breakfast was also ok and included in the price. The room was very quiet. A very short walk and you were at the river or in the old town. Overall very good value as the price was very reasonable.
One of the nicest places I have stayed in Hungary. The price was reasonable and the staff was very friendly and helpful. There is a very nice terrace for spending time together in the evening. The location was wondeful in the old town and we go a discount at the local cafe.
There was a nice young woman in the reception who spoke good english as well. In Hungary that is something that is not very common. In general she did her job well, no problems.
