A wonderfully cosy place, tucked in the very heart of Varaždin, so close to everything in town that it makes the whole Varaždin feel like your extended living room.
The rooms are significantly more spacious than expected, the little minibar fridge fully functional to receive the fresh fruit from the nearby farmers market (the "plac") and the staff smiling and ready to help at every turn.
The oriel corner window ("erker") in the hotel cafe on the first floor overlooking an intersection of busy pedestrian streets is surely the best place in town to have breakfast, or a nightcap.
And one more thing: although the temperature outside went up to 35C, the room was never too hot - and we never switched on the (otherwise fully functioning) airco.

It's a beautiful, historic city, with fantastic local restaurants and cafes, stunning parks, and very clean and quiet. My favourite thing about the old town is that it's all cobblestones and austrian-style buildings with no car access. Perfect to walk around in. Even the streets by larger roads feel quiet, and it's so picturesque and green, it's wonderful to walk in.

Not at all overcrowded by tourists (in late September) from various countries.

This is a great day trip from Zagreb that is easily booked by bus. The old town core is well maintained and has significant architecture, charming terraces and cafes, and can be nicely covered in 1-2 days if you’d like to enjoy an overnight as I did.

Varazdin is a beautiful small town.
Varazdin is a beautiful small town. The appartment is situated in the ground floor with one main living room (and entrance hall) with kitchen, sleeping room, bathroom and wc. It is very comfortable with a lovely backyard. You can use a table with chairs outside, however, you must tolerate people coming to a small shop on the opposite side of your door. They are not many. The owners are very kind and willing to help.

It is a small town but very nice, with cozy atmosphere and peaceful streets. People are friendly and easy to talk to. Everything is very clean. They respect nature and have beautiful forests, lakes and mountains around the town, with castles to visit. Restaurants have a wide variety of menus, good food.

A beautiful city with hardly any tourists! Truly a hidden gem. We went in august, when the beaches were full. In Varazdin, there was hardly anyone!
Beautiful castles, country side, and rock climbing.
It’s a perfect stop-over on one’s way to the Croatian coast and the town is pretty, with cobbled streets and lovely architecture, picture perfect.
We were here in October so many restaurants closed - so we ate at the hotel.
The staff are mainly attentive and helpful. Simple check in/out. Easy free- parking. Very comfortable.

Staff is very friendly. Good food and quality drinks in the bar/restaurant. Prices for all services are very reasonable. The rooms are spottless clean and everything is functioning. Bathroom is modern. Mini bar well equipped. Definately would visit this hotel again.
A perfectly equipped and clean apartment as well as a kitchen that exceeded expectations. The bed is as comfortable as in more expensive hotels. Bed linen the cleanest of all on Booking where I have been. Also big public parking place.
