Hotel is very nice, room was clean, very comfortable and nicely surprising with little fruit offers. Staff is very friendly and they care about your accommodation. Price might be higher in dense summer season but I stayed in the second half of September and price/performance balance is affordable (breakfast and one dinner or lunch is included the room price, that is important). Stari Grad town center is 10 min walking distance, if you do not have any car also hotel can assist about transportation from ferry port to hotel (cheaper than taxi). If you would like to stay in a peaceful place in a comfortable way, I suggest that hotel.

Our stay at this apartment was honestly one of the highlights of our trip. From the moment we arrived, the owners welcomed us with such warmth and kindness, making us feel like we were visiting old friends. They went above and beyond to help with everything we needed. The place itself was cozy, clean, and had all the little touches that made it feel like home. We left after three days feeling completely refreshed and so grateful for the experience. Highly recommend staying here if you're looking for a place where you'll feel truly taken care of!

Hostess, Daniellea, was very welcoming and kind.
as I was travelling alone, that was important to me.
When I couldn't get the TV working, Daniella's soon attended to this in a very short time.
the unit was rooma and comfortable, with 2 balconies. The property is very close to town centre.
I definitely would recommend Apartments Markovic to everyone.

It's quiet but still full of action.
A lot of restaurants with different dishes and different kind of music.
Some even with live musicians.
There is a great plaza in the city covered with micro-blazes that shoot tiny drops of water producing refreshing fog. Kids loved it.
Big sidewalk along the sea allows for great night walks.
The city beach is fairly nice, clean water and normally crowded.
Great vacation for family with kids. Perhaps not so good for partygoers.

This is a lovely port not too big with plenty of restaurants and sailing yachts which moor each evening and give the place a very lively atmosphere. We stayed in a front room with sea view and terrace and the breakfast was served on the large terrace outside or inside if it was raining which did not happen for us - fortunately. Ante the Manage/0wner actually drove us back to the ferry at Hvar on our departure as the taxi driver had to cancel at the last minute and we were really grateful to him for that kind gesture. Yes it is easy to get around Stari Grad and we will rent bicycles next time as it is mostly quite flat.

We could not of enjoyed Stari Grad more if we tried.
We could not of enjoyed Stari Grad more if we tried. The food was delicious, the people were incredibly friendly, and the architecture was beautiful.
If I can recommend anything, it is to visit Blue Doors. The food was amazing and all the Owners family recipes, the wine we selected (which I believe was the house white) was made next door to the restaurant. All the staff were lovely and we chose this location for our final meal of our holiday.
Hvar Island is gorgeous and although Stari Grad is not as glitzy as Hvar town it remains a beautiful location - short walk along the promenade from the hotel.
Food was excellent and the menu pricing was reasonable which meant the credit system for the half board worked really well.
Staff was really friendly and welcoming.
Our room with the two bedrooms had sufficient space and the beds were excellent.
The pool area was a real winner and the kids absolutely loved it - real relaxing environment.
Extremely calm location, you really need a car as it's a bit away from Stari Grad and it's hilly (and hot!). A really relaxing way to see Hvar Island - Stari Grad is a nice town and you can easily get to some nice out of the way beaches. The house is really well equipped - you have everything you need and you can have lovely meals in the garden by the pool which is small but most welcome (and you can sit and watch the swifts dive-bombing the pool)!
Beautiful place. Perfect location. Very sweet host. Highly recommend. The apartment is charming and filled with character. This was our favorite place we stayed in Croatia!
The host was available for everything we needed and gave us essential information to understand the island and Stari Grad. Even shared a bottle of his family’s wine!
Absolutely fabulous concept. Great design, wonderful staff, delicious food, and the pool area is pure bliss. Loved the sea side too and the nearby town is beautiful. The family room was spacious with great views. Undoubtedly the best hotel in Croatia.
Stari Grad was a lovely area to stay in and this property was perfect. Wonderful host and fantastic facilities. Perfect if you don’t want to stay in Hvar
