Many vendors cannot understand “no”and follow us everywhere we we go nagging and nagging and very annoying. One followed us to our hotel another followed us to the restaurant.
The market is not all that as Antigua has a market and Guatamala City has central market with equal products and food. I found out they charge more on Thursdays and Sundays because of the tourists.
The local restaurants quality of food is terrible.
We ate at San Juan and Las Brasas
Not worth going to Chichicastenango.

The owner was very nice and engaging, and there's a very cute, sweet dog that stays in a box right in front of the hotel. The location was nice, close to the market and sites but a bit outside the action. It's a cute, small town, so it's easy to get around.
The room is basic and has everything you need.
It was a bit cold, but there were lots of blankets. The shower also had hot water and worked well.
The Internet was fine, but not great, so I used my phone data instead some of the time.
The staff was awesome. Since it was slow, they bumped me up to a better room without an extra cost. The place very clean and comfy. The hotel/museum is across a church and apparently this used to be the sleeping quarters for the priests (that’s why they only have single beds. We ended up putting all 3 beds together. Over all, 9 out of 10. Will definitely come back again. 1 block away from the counties market and everything is within walking distance.
This is the best place to stay in town. It is centrally located and really is a museum of the town. The rooms are filled with antiques from all over the world. The dining rooms convey the past of the country. The bar was just right for a pre-dinner snack and drink. We enjoyed the honest simple breakfast and dinner. The employees are very knowledgeable about the history of the hotel.
Breakfast was okay, nothing too special. We liked our room, in front of which we were able to park our car. We stayed here one night since we wanted to go visit the market in Chichicastenango. It's a little bit outside of town, which was great, because it was quiet. I'd stay here again for sure! Very clean, staff was friendly.
The room was beautiful. The staff provided plenty of drinking water and was very helpful in setting up transportation to lanquin. The hotel is feet away from the market. Breakfast was delicious and satisfying. I would definitely stay here again.
Old school Guatemala tourist hotel. Comfortable and clean but not luxurious. The beds are fine but not great. Location is superb, just one block from the market. I prefer the Hotel Santo Tomás but this is a good choice.
I was able to check in early before going to the market. The hotel is close to the market. Breakfast was good and the fresh bread was wonderful. Naturally there was fresh Guatemalan coffee and fruit.
More like an AirBnB than a hotel but the owner is friendly and helpful. The WiFi worked well and the room was clean and comfortable. Free filtered was available to refill a water bottle.
The historical nature of the hotel is charming. The fireplaces are beautiful and they send someone to light your fire. The furniture is old and homey. Beds were comfortable.
The owner and staff treated us very kindly and helped to arrange transportation to the airport. We felt safe at the hotel and in the neighborhood. Breakfast was adequate.
Restaurant at the hotel is excellent, breakfast was delicious. Rooms are new and beautiful and the park around the property is very peaceful. Nice hotel!
