Yiannis was amazing! He welcomed us into his home with open arms. I booked a room while my two friends parked their van on the lawn. The dogs played together and we shared stories and even lunch together. We appreciate Yiannis' project and we hope you do too! My room was spacious and the bathrooms were spotless!

+Hospitality (long text below)
+Family style
+Big and wonderful garden, backyard with a vegetable garden and BBQ area
+Fully equipped kitchen and everything for cooking
+Very clean (even walls and top of the furniture)
The owners of this place are very hospitable and find a common language with guests even despite the language barrier. The owner's family together gave us a tour of their garden, told us what was growing there, about life in Greece and its features, and treated us like a family. They also give us a lot of their fruit from the garden in the backyard and their property. I would like to give it an 11 for such service and hospitality, but booking limited it by 10! This is not a hotel, but a full-fledged family home and it's a kind of oasis in Greece thanks to such hospitality! I would recommend this location to everyone, especially foreigners who want to stay for a long period of time and completely immerse themselves in the atmosphere of local culture!)

Our stay at Phyllida Guest House was exceptional, thanks to the attentive and generous hospitality of Aggeliki, our friendly hostess. After a tiring trip, which included our car breaking down just before Tripolis, our hostess welcomed us with genuine warmth and immediately served up some delicious food, including dakos salad and zucchini fritters (yummy!). The room was cozy, clean, equipped with a toaster and kettle to make our breakfast and tea and with a beautiful private garden.
Aggeliki, an artist, had even given the surrounding houses an artistic touch by painting the key chains and some other objects. During our stay, she provided us with valuable suggestions for restaurants and activities to make the most out of our time. Throughout our stay, we felt cared for and comfortable. The booking process via booking.com was seamless, and the peaceful surroundings ensured that we slept soundly every night.
During our last night, there was a wedding celebration next to the property of Phyllida which kept us a little awake, but our hostess informed us a lot earlier about the festivities and even allowed us a late check-out next day for free!
In addition to its overall charm, one of the standout features of Phyllida Guest House is its wonderful garden, adorned with vibrant flowers and lush greens. The serene surroundings create a sense of peacefulness, allowing guests to fully unwind and embrace the silence of the countryside. All in all, we couldn't have asked for a more perfect stay at Phyllida Guest House. We will return, that’s for sure!
Thank you so much, Aggeliki, for everything!
See you next year or wishfully earlier!

Zakharo is a small village near the coast.
Zakharo is a small village near the coast. It has all the essentials (super markets, restaurants, coffee shops etc), so one can spend his stay there without the need to move to other places. However, there are no much activities you can do with the kids, so it would be wise to pick a hotel that offers kids activities. The beach is quite nice and sandy, however if the wind is Western, the waves will be high enough to prevent you from swimming. The food was really nice in almost all the restaurants we visited and the prices quite reasonable. If I would visit the broader area again I would choose to go to a place with beaches facing South, as western winds are the most common in there and create high waves to almost all beaches.

It's a convenient place to stay if you want to go to the sea, drive to some scenic roads and landscapes to the mountains or to ancient Olympia. The village itself it's not so nice but it' s not ugly either. My favorite restaurant: 'To Petrino'.

In June the beach was not crowded.
In June the beach was not crowded. The beach was a nice sandy beach and it was easy to swim and play in the water with kids. Close to the apartment was a lovely tavern and the town is also a walk away with more variety of services. It was easy to do day trips to ancient sites from Zacharo.
Spacious and comfortable stay. Eleni, our hostess, was very attentive to our needs. The house was equipped with everything (microwave, toaster, dish washer , washing machine, dryer, you name it). Salt , pepper , oregano , and oil were already in the cupboards, which are very helpful for short stays. I can not remember if we really missed something
The beaches are very close and Zacharo too. The garden is spacious with a huge area with grass. We could easily park two cars .Overall, we were happy to visit Villa Eleni.
A great place in a beautiful small town. We enjoyed visiting and learning more about the Grecian village life during our stay. It was a nice visit between touristy areas to experience village life. Close to many cafes, mini markets, restaurants, and the beach. Eleni and kakovatos studios is a hidden gem. She was there for everything we needed and made us feel like we were at home. This was our first time visiting Greece and we have been so welcomed here. I am looking forward to our next trip here.
The apartment is located 5 min by feet from the center. To the wonderful 'Zacharo Beach' it takes online 6 min by car. We really enjoyed our stay, the apartment is furnished with a living room/kitchen (including an oven)with a big couch and a TV, a room with a big bed and a bathroom with a laundry machine. It was perfectly clean. The host was nice and very helpful, tue communication was pretty easy and fast. I highly recommend to stay there, it was very comfortable and private! Thanks!
The atmosphere of the hotel is very cozy. Nicely furnished and decorated. We were among the first guests of the season, so there was a slight issue with getting hot water pumped up to the third floor. But the staff had it fixed right away.
The big and wonderful surprise was the exceptional breakfast with an amazing selection of home made cakes and pies, four different ways to make coffee and a huge selection of good tea.
All the staff were very kind and helpful, and we had a great stay
Everything was perfect. Each room has a big terrace, the room itself is spacious enough and there is also a well-equipped kitchenette. The bathroom was good and of a decent size. A long sandy beach is just 3-minute walk from the Olympion studios. Great place for families with kids, but also perfect for middle-aged couples like us. This is our new best ever summer destination. For our next trip to Greece, we don't have to look for anything better.
The host was very friendly and attentive and the place is generally very homey. The hotel is a little old but extremely clean and well reserved. My single room was big and the bed was very comfortable.
Hot water 24/7 and even though I stayed off-season and they didn't have many other guests at the time, the hostess offered to serve breakfast just for me!
I would definitely recommend!
The hotel is situated away from the busy streets, in the older part of the village. The view is fantastic and the evening breeze is welcome.
In front of the hotel on the town square is a small taverna serving excellent Greek food. No need to go very far.
The staff/owner was very friendly and accommodating.
Very nice hotel, run by a family which is keen to fullfill every wish if you ask them. Generous Appartment rooms with very comfortable beds. Nice pool facility and a very well equipped games room (with billiard, pingpong and more...) Breakfast was good too. Overall a very good experiance!
Very friendly owners. Cosy and well decorated hotel. Large rooms. They fulfilled our request for two rooms next to each other. Good location one minute away from the central square and near to beautiful beaches.
The hotel is really cozy, it feels more like a big family mansion. They do have some nice dogs and private parking and very tasty home cooked breakfast. Also received a very nice recommendation for dinner.
Excellent position by the beach, nice garden around, good bar-cafe. Large studio and terrace, good bed, well equipped kitchen. Supermarkets and taverns in Zacharo Village at about 1.5 km.
Very clean hotel, really nice staff and great tavernes around the corner and 10 minutes walk doen the road. Beach in front is very quiet, but offers shades and lounge chairs.
The staff were extremely friendly and hospitable . Extremely informative and accommodating.
I would definitely recommend the hotel to family and friends.
