Our group of 5 couples intended to visit the Museum of Macedonian Kings in Vergina, so we looked for a stay as near as possible. The guide who should accompany us recommended staying in Veria because almost no hotel exist in Vergina. But we chose this hotel, and it was great luck. The date of museum visit was during school vacation with tens of teen tours. The guide suggested to start our tour at 8:00. Very wise; we walked from the hotel to the museum in 10 minutes and were there alone. How could we do this staying in Veria?!
The hotel location was not the only luck. The hotel looks like fabulous villa - all absolutely new. White artificial marble floor, lacquered brownish furniture, toilets accessories. Spacy, beautiful, excellent!!! Two hostesses, mother and daughter, do their upmost you to feel welcomed. Only fun situation happened at morning because we couldn’t tap a hot water. The previous night hostess forgot to point us where the room heater tap is. If you stay check this beforehand.
In any case it was superb stay.

Good aircondition, clean, location very quiet, parking, close to tavernas and market. Good choice for a night stop as it is not far from highway. Price was aslso very competitive. The next morning we got coffee for free, although we did not serve breakfast

We enjoyed our stay in this comfy guest house very close to the archaeological sites of Vergina. We were there to see the history, and the hotel's location was perfect. We parked right outside our room. Our room was clean and modern, and the bathroom had a great shower. We opted for breakfast one morning and were able to order exactly what we wanted. Delicious! Would highly recommend!

We stayed 4 nights. The apartment was clean and comfortable. Parking was easy on the street in front of the building. The location, high on the hillside, did give a great view. The kitchen had all the necessary equipment to prepare simple meals. The Nespresso coffee meant I had great coffee. We would stay there again.
Set amid lush greenery, in Elafina Village of Imathia, the traditionally-built Mouson Melathron offers self-catering accommodations with mountain views.

Peaceful and pleasant apartment with a large yard, a playground for children - the attraction is the tree house:)! Clean air and hosts who are very nice people!
Extremely beautiful museum but expensive! Nice little village with many tourist shops and taverns. The archeological site is disappointing. We thought we needed a ful day to visit but actually you can do it in about two hours. If possible you could combine it with a visit to Veroia which has many things to offer and you could easily spend the rest of the day there. I would suggest: visit Vergina museum in the morning, have a lunch there and go to Veroia.

Amazing to share the same ground with Philip ll (his tomb) & walk in the footsteps of Alexander The Great.
A different kind of museum constructed to make you feel as though you are in a tomb - in fact, I believe it is built directly over the original location. Then there's the spectacular display of the contents...
The city site itself containing the palace was closed at the time of my visit
Don't forget to visit Pella with it's very excellent new museum!

Nice little village with beautiful hills and so much ancient things to see. The museum and the tomb of Phillip II. is worth a view! Even if some people say that 12€ is too much - it is worth it. You see the tombs and so much exhibits.
The ancient palace ruins are nearby - you can drive by car until the parking lot and after that you have to walk. Or - just like me - walk the whole way. It is around 1km from the center of Vergina up the hills. They are working there at the moment, so the palace is open for public from 10am - 2pm.
The town Veria is around 11km away and easy to reach with car. The public transport is... yeah. Optional. :D I waited for the bus that was called for 12am and at least it came at 12:30. The day before there was no bus at all at this time. You have to be very patient and the "german accuracy" will kill your joy.
The restaurants are wonderful as well. I had the luck to find a nice spot where I came back for at least four days every evening.

The tombs of Philip are spectaculars but do not visit the place without deep understanding of antique funeral rituals same as the construction of tombs in various periods of antiquity, otherwise is a lost of time.

Village on the site of Aigai the original capital of the Greek Macedonians. Few restaurants worth mentioning with the exception of a wonderful traditional Taverna in the old center. The reason to visit is clearly the incredible museum of the royal Macedonian tombs underground the massive tumulus. The exhibition of King Philip the 2nd, Alexander the Great’s father, and other tombs was breathtaking. A must see in Northern Greece...

Finding the archaeological sites was a challenge, so be sure to ask at your hotel for advice (or at one of the restaurants if you stop for a bite.) However, they have done an amazing job here and would recommend for anyone travelling to Greece.
We were looking for an overnight stay on our way to Lefkada and Corfu. This Pension is not far from the main road. We get so much more than just an overnight stay: the room was comfortable, the wifi was great and on the top of that, Vergina is actually a very nice place to stay. The accommodation is close to a UNESCO word-heritage archeological site and there are plenty of nice restaurants just down the road. The staff was super helpful and the breakfast was great. Absolutely recommended.
A very good location in this bustling little village full of such wonderful history and antiquities. The service was exceptional. Angelika and Dimitra were so welcoming and warm; Aphrodite took such very good care to give us an extremely useful itinerary for our visit to the tombs and museum and also made us a very good breakfast to start our day; thank you! The rooms are spotlessly clean and spacious.

We loved the big comfortable, beautifully decorated rooms, huge showers with high water pressure, amazing view, dinner and breakfast under the vines, friendly staff, and the proximity to the excellent Aigai museum in Vergina. The wine was great too. The connecting family rooms are very nice and convenient.
The hotel is located a couple blocks up the hill from the main archeological site with beautiful views of the surrounding area. The staff was attentive and welcoming, very kind and provided a great breakfast! The rooms were large with private balconies and very comfortable.
Very warm welcoming by the host, they are passionate to give you the best possible experience and even offered some cake.
Some would say the hotel looks dated but that's a plus imo. Taking into account the price, location and the gorgeous view from the window, def 10/10.
We stayed in this hotel many years ago, twice, so this was a return visit. The lady who runs it couldn't have been more helpful. The location is quiet but accessible. Love the place and may well go back again.
The location the view and the comfort was exceptional. The hotel is run as a family business the decor is beautiful. The owners make you feel at home with there care and attention. Definitely we will return .
Lovely landscapes. Nice and cozy rooms, with enough space and everything we needed. The bed was very confortable. There is also a small and very nice restaurant at the hotel.
Very well located. By foot you join the main museum of Vergina wich is really unique and awesome. Moreover the host give good advices to visit beautiful spots in the area.
