Everything is close enough to reach and far enough away to not be bothered by if you want peace and quiet.
There is no live music scene in Liminas bur it can be found in Potos and Liminaria.
Plenty of archaeological sites.
Restaurants are all good so are the bars - depending on what you want from a bar - Brazil Bar is lively. Karanti has traditional music some nights, Drift Bar has jazz background music, Alexandras has good food and traditional entertainment.
Good restaurants, Tavernaki, Ambrosia, Souvlike, Gefstiko, Thassian, Alexandras.

Limenas is a small town at seaside and it has all the facilities for a wonderful stay: traditional tavernas with delicious food, live streets with shops to walk around and the ferry port which is the gate to the island.
It was great for us to stay in Limenas and to have trips around the island from there.

Great town, with lots of facilities, lots of restaurants and souvenir shops. Being in the north side of the island, its easy to get on both sides (East and West as well).
The Olive Garden is a great place to spend your holiday, is quiet, the yard is so big and green, lots of cute cats, and Gerogi (the host) is such a nice lady easy to talk to, friendly and there for you every time.

Food: You cant go wrong with many of the old ports restaurants and bars (Alexandras tavern, Mythos tavern etc.)
Beach: Old port beach(East side) is definitely a better option than the west side beach. Island beach bar offers great food/drinks + free sunbeds & umbrellas for customers. Also on this beach there is free public area with some tree shade + room for your own umbrella + sunbeds.
Places of note:
* Try and visit Carnagio bar at night on the rooftop.
* Syrup lokomades from Stamatis pastry shop, probably best lokomades in all of Greece.
* Marble beach is tourist trap
* La skala beach is great place to visit few kms west of limenas.
The location is excellent, one of the best in Thassos, for sure. Very beautiful view, helpfull and positive staff. The bar and the taverna are more beautiful than what we could find in west Thassos. The beach is nice, the sand is clean and there are no stones in the water. The location is perfect for families with children because of all the facilities provided (play area, tennis court etc). Breakfast and dinner are also very good. Many beautiful places for taking pictures. All together, I truly recommend this location.
I can’t thank enough to the Dimitri. He was absolutely the best. We really felt so safe while our stay at Thassos. He just felt like our uncle and he helped us whenever we need. This is my first review at Booking.com and well deserved! Super clean rooms and facilities. The location was absolutely perfect, we were close to the center, shops, restaurants and everything. It was the best stay of our life. We really appreciated for everything he did for us! Definitely stay here!
Very well located in Thassos, we could easily walk to good tavernas and coffee places and driving to and from beaches was a breeze. The place was more spacious and looked better than the photos had us believe. We felt a bit like being locals! There are two options for parking within walking distance that our lovely host pointed us to.
Well equipped for preparing a quick meal and doing laundry.

The apartments are newly constructed and the facilities are equipped with a wide range of amenities. The location is very convenient and in just a few minutes away from Limenas. The owner, Nikos, is very friendly and helpful, as he suggested to us, nice places for to eat and visit. We would love to come back, and we definitely recommend it for everyone that is looking a really nice place to stay at Thassos.
An excellent location to visit Thassos. Located in the city center, right in the commercial center, very close to the port and 700 m from the city beach. Own parking, with enough places for the hotel's 17 rooms. The rooms are of 4-star level, and the varied breakfast corresponding to 3-star. Friendly staff, as you rarely find in other hotels.
Perfect location. The communication with the hotel was great. All my preferences like sea view and double bed were fulfilled by the hotel knowing it depends on availability. The staff was very friendly and polite. The room was cleaned every day.

Lovely very green hotel in a stunning location with incredible sea in one of the best bays on the whole island. Excellent comfortable rooms, very friendly staff, good cuisine, deer and peacocks on site. All this creates an unforgettable experience and the desire to return to this beautiful hotel again.
The staff was very nice and friendly. The room was comforable and very clean. Also they were carefull about cleaniness in all hotel areas. The breakfast was great. The beach up front, across the road, is small but very cute. Limenas and great beach bars are reachable within 5 minutes of car driving.

Nice, modern apartments, close to Thassos port and the center of limenas, but in a very quiet location. The pool was a big plus for the little one. Very clean and quiet, especially because our room was at the back of the building.

You can walk everywhere in Limennas. There is free parking area near the hotel. Rooms are clean and staff is very kind. If I go to Thassos one more time I will choose them.
