Stavros is a very touristic place in the summer and only has very nice beaches and a touristic center with he standard touristic shops. If you prefer that it is an excellent place to go to. If you do not like crowded touristic places and prefer authentic less crowded places therer are more authentic Greek villages at the coast in the direction of Alexandroupolis. But still Stavros is a nice place to visit for maybe two days ( if you prefer quietness) and then continue along the coast. Overall this part of Greece is very nice and Greek people are very friendly and helpful.

Small city but pretty nice.
Small city but pretty nice. Most of the terraces are in the centre, only few terraces on the beach - so if you want to eat local food (no fast foods) you should select a beach with own terrace.
There is a central pedestrian road where you can buy a lot of things but also you can go in a walk thru the streets and you'll find also local shops pretty nice.

If you are one of those people who do not mind what they eat and prefer to spend a quiet and unpretentious vacation, then Stavros will meet your expectations. In my opinion, there is only one restaurant where the food is at a good level.

Stavros has a nice location and the sea is nice, clean and warm. The parking spaces in the city were quite OK and we appreciated that they were free. The main road was a bit busy during the day, but the beach was not crowded and the facilities were good.
The restaurants in the city were very good and good value for money. We liked Kalamatianos, Piaza and Il Mondo.

A small town which has all the facilities for a nice holiday. Wonderful beaches, plenty of restaurants and choice of food, entertainment for youngest in amusement park, field to play football and basketball for other. The seaside cafes offer good service, sandy and clean beaches, nice music and wonderful sea to bath in. There are plenty of shops to buy different items, may it be souvenirs, clothes or anything you like. Highly recommend Stavros both for families and young people.

Wonderful and communicative place, excellent hygiene and cleaning of the rooms. Close to grocery stores, cafes, restaurants and bakeries. it is located 100 meters from the center of the town and 300 meters from the beach. Wonderful service and friendly hosts.
Everything was perfect and the staff was great and very kind. One of the staff gave me her bicycle to go on another beach and to drove a bicycle whole day. I was suprised how kind and helpful she was :-) Location is great, beachfront, from our balcony we wached sunset and sea. Beachbar with sunbeds was just in front of hotel. The room was every day cleaned, bed sheet and towels was washed end changed every day, everything was new in the room. Toilet is new and clean. It was pleasure to be in this property. I hope I will come again some day.
Very pleasant staff, clean room and beautiful hotel with swimming pool and green surroundings. There are several wonderful beaches in the radius of 10 km away. Perfect parking under trees. The breakfast was also very filling and tasty. It was pleasant that our room was upgraded for free and we received a comfortable suite. The location is quiete, away from the noisy center, although Stavros center is not far from hotel, perfect for an evening walk. In general we definitely recommend this place!
The property has everything you need for relaxing holiday. The beach is really close, across the street, if you enjoy to walk you can use the path next to the beach to get to center of Stavros in less than 10 minutes. Everyone in Alexander Inn are kind and the service is on professional level. Breakfast is tasty and delicious. The food in restaurant is excellent and the portions are big (enough for two people). There is a playground for kids and our child enjoyed a lot!
We stayed here for a week, and we're definitely coming back, I'm giving it 10 out of 10 for each category.
The place is super clean, safe, with everything nearby - mini markets, restaurants, beaches. Hosts are super friendly, environment is child proof, it really felt like being home!
You have a backyard to relax and enjoy your coffee (or whatever you prefer) at any time during the day, there is a big tree shade. It's a shame we had to go back home :)
Everything is new and modern, it's very clean, the host was so good and friendly, we have been received nice, the yard is beautiful and very handy especially if you have kids, they can play outside, parking available in front of the hotel, the beach is 3-4 minutes away by walk. You have supermarket on 2 minutes walking, bakery on 1 minutes and restaurants are 3-4 minutes away by walk.
A well maintained hotel with rooms with enough space and comfortable beds. Rooms were cleaned everyday. The owners are friendly and polite. The included breakfast suits very well with the staying in the hotel as it us outside of Stavros. Good breakfast with many things included. Nice beach at a walking distance. In general an excellent choice to stay in for this region.
I liked everything. The room was very clean, comfortable, with nice balcony. The kitchen has everything you need, if you have a toddler and need to cook breakfast or a quick meal. The location is very near to beach, only 2 min by walking. You can park the car in front of apartment. The host is very helpful and doesn't bother you.

The property is located far from the noise of the central part of Stavros and 5 minutes walking from the beach. The restaurants are about 15-20 minutes walk away. Plenty of places for parking. Quiet place to rest at least during the time we were there. First time in Stavros and we'll do it again for sure!
Breakfast is very good. Every day the same, few options on a swedish table, but tasty and ok in general. The location of the hotel is great, very near the main street but still quiet. Few minutes walking from the closest beach. The restorant is right oposite the hotel (10m far away), with a great view.
