If you want a special experience go to Skopolos. We arrived by ferry from Skiathos which is only 1 hour and 14 euros each. Visually the town is special from the sea and is very friendly and full of nice bars and restauraunts but is also very chilled. Prices are sensible.

Very wide choice of restaurants and bars, but not all open when we visted at end of September when everything was begining to shut down. There is no real beach in the town so transport is requred, local buses are good but services reduce in September. Lots of steep slopes and steps so not ideal for less mobile. The town has very much the feel of a place that has been taken over by tourism. Plenty of trips to visit parts of the island and other islands.

Lovely island with a lovely port with many shops and restaurants. Extremely safe and it has a lovely vibe about it. We took a Mamma Mia tour which was inexpensive and a great way to see some of the main sites around the island and visit some lively beaches. It is very mountainous and the roads are not for those afraid of heights. Skopelos town is definitely the best place to stay

Picture-perfect Greek town, totally unspoilt, with some amazing bars and restaurants. Great for all ages and tastes, and the whole island is easy to get around on the local bus. Some stunning beaches to visit, a definite must-visit Island.
The hotel is excellently placed in a central, but quiet part of the city. We were met by the very polite and hospitable owner who guided us through the alleys to the hotel. The room felt like it was worth more than we paid, everything you need is in there in a spacious and traditional-looking, clean room. Outside it was full of beautiful plants that gave a very cosy and welcoming feeling, and a few cute, friendly cats roaming around. Apart from the hotel itself, the whole experience was topped off by a feeling of welcoming hospitality.
The house is located in the lower level of Skopelos town which provides a very easy access. It is also very close to the supermarket as well as the downtown area. At the same time, it is a very quiet neighborhood. The garden is wonderful. The owner is super nice and pleasant to deal with. Mama Soula's fig jam is amazing!! The house/room was very clean and fully functional. Me and my girls would love to come back again!!
Location is nice as its about a 15 min walk into the center of Skopelos town. The staff is very friendly and helpful! A few things were missing from the rooms such as cutlery and hangers however the staff was more than happy to bring anything we needed to us. The rooms were refreshed every two days, they changed the sheets and brought fresh towels which was nice. Family run so keep in mind this a hard working family!
The house is incredible! It is decorated with exceptional taste and it is a little oasis close to Stafylos beach. The private patio is beautiful, quiet, and with great view! We also wanted to be close to Skopelos town and by car it was just a few minutes away. Ourania is also extremely kind and helpful. We’re definitely going back to Villa John’s!

The best part of the whole stay was Maria herself. A fabulous host who really took care of us.
