We spent a lovely week here and everything was perfect. The hospitality and generosity shown to us from Dimitra, our host, was genuine, warm and exceptional. Of the many places we have stayed on the Greek islands, this was certainly one of the best, and we wouldn't hesitate to stay here again. Our apartment was modern, well-designed and very comfortable. It's located in a lovely part of Petra village, far enough away from the summer crowds, but a few minutes walk to everything. There's a lovely bakery a few steps away, and a mini mart just along the road for easy access to provisions. Although our apartment was on the ground floor, there's a delightful shared courtyard garden, and Dimitra was happy for some other family members to come and visit us whenever they chose to. Petra is a really lovely village.
Petra is a really lovely village. It is very traditional and little changes from year to year. There is a choice of beaches - the main village beach and also Avlaki beach (our favourite) at one end of the village. There is an excellent range of bars and tavernas and the food at all the ones we tried was delicious. The ‘Caravan by the Sea’ (just a little further on from Avlaki beach) deserves a special mention - food and service are superb.
There is a lovely friendly atmosphere in the village and it is a beautiful place to enjoy a relaxing break.
The hotel is wonderful - we had a delicious breakfast every morning. We stayed in a family suite, which was like a little flat. It had everything we needed, and more. The rooms were cleverly designed to make the best use of space. Lots of lovely little touches that made the place homely. The pool area is excellent and it is only a short walk to the beach. Renee and her family are fantastic hosts.
The staff at the hotel is very friendly, the hotel was very clean. We stayed in room a6. Although we stayed with our baby, we felt very comfortable. It is a great advantage to have a parking area for children and close to beautiful beaches.
Extremely clean room next to the sea and in walking distance from Petra center and bars and restaurants. Very kind and helpful owners. Definitely worth it for a short stay or longer stay in a bigger room.
We stayed there for a night. Very clean ,recently renovated room in a peaceful area. The beautiful Petra village is few minutes walking away. We would stay there again for sure.
