We enjoyed our stay at Soul Boutique. The location was central to many of the hikes we wanted to do in the area. The room was cozy, had a sitting area, as well as a refrigerator and kettle. As others have said, the breakfast was wonderful and was a great start to the day!

Everything was great! Very modern. Everything you need for a comfortable warm stay in the Zagori Region. Host is incredibly sweet and responsive. Great selection of breakfast items to fuel your day. We had dietary restrictions in our family, host went above and beyond to supply items for everyone to enjoy. Fireplace ready to light so you can enjoy a cozy evening when it’s cold outside. Very clean and kept up. Fluffiest towels we have encountered in Greece. After you figure out how to prime the hot water, great shower. We loved our stay here and are sad to leave, hope we make it back to this region one day. Very quiet spot in the evening, but you will hear the tour groups go by during the day.
A family hotel in a lovely village,
in my opinion the most worthwhile place in Zagoria.
We stayed at the hotel for four nights;
Sofia and her two sons, Christos and Theodore were charming, made us feel at home.
Spacious rooms, excellent service, generous breakfast.
The hotel also has an Italian restaurant with a selection of excellent and delicious dishes.
And most importantly, it's their humanity and caring.

Unforgettable 5 days in Monodendri.
Unforgettable 5 days in Monodendri. On first day, we had a hike from the Village of Vicos, which is a few kilometers down from Monodendri, to the villages of Koukouli and Kipoi, over beautiful stone bridges. The next day we hiked to Lake Drakolimni. On the third day, we visited the Voidomatis River and the beautiful villages of Papingo and Mikro Papingo, and bathed in natural stone baths. Monodendri is an excellent choice for a base if you are visiting Zagori. Village is small and calm, tavernas with excellent food. Stone houses, with stone roofs, excellent view.

A couple of interesting places to visit nearby: Monastery of Agia Paraskevi (at the outskirts of the village accessible on foot), and Stone Forest ( >1-hour hiking or 20 min drive). Proximity to Papigo and Aristi (starting point for rafting at Voidomatis River). Short-distance drives to visit characteristic stone arch bridges in the area.

A beautiful and well preserved village, in an area of great natural beauty. The village has some nice restaurants and coffee shops, while the Rizarios Foundation organises interesting exhibitions. Mondendri is an excellent base for exploring the wider area (hiking or by car).

It is a good starting point for exploring the area, especially if you have a car with you. Walks from the village to the viewing point or down to the river are very good as well. Main thing: if you want to walk to the viewing point first find the old square with the platanos tree, the trail starts there and is also marked from the square (blue trail).
It is also a good spot to leave your car and start a hiking holiday. It is not as romantic but cheaper than Papingo. We also loved the restaurant opposite the hotel (Dionysos restaurant), where we felt at home very quickly and where the offer good local food at reasonable prices.

Monodendri is a very nice village in the heart of Zagorochoria. There are a couple of very nice taverns in the central square of the village with nice food. Close to the central square also start two hiking trails: the one that crosses the Vikos Gorge and the trail to the neighboring village of Vitsa. On the main road there is a coffeeshop that serves great coffee.
What a special location and town! The view is amazing and the decor of the hotel is lovely. It is great spot for home base in the area especially for the vikos gorge hike! The staff was fantastic and always available if needed. They also arranged a cab to transport us to the start of the gorge hike in Vikos one morning. The breakfasts were excellent and we had dinner at the hotel one night which was also great! We liked being just outside of the town area because it was so peaceful.
So authentic and beautiful!The house located in the center of picturesque Monodendri just a few steps from the view point and Vikos gorge trail starting point.
The house has all necessary facilities for a comfortable stay, we enjoyed the fireplace every evening.
The hosts are amazing! We were greeted with homemade pies, jams and other local products for a breakfast, the recommendations for places to visit and to eat were great!

I loved my stay in the Arktouros. The family that run it are so kind and welcoming. The location is spectacular. On the edge of Monodendri, my balcony had a view of the Gorge, and on one morning, deer in the garden! The restaurant is lovely, perfect pasta and pizza. Quiet at night. I made it through the Gorge and the rain held off! A fantastic day. I will be back. Thank you!
First of all the location of the Village is ideal to explore the area, located in the middle of Zagori.
The hotel was located on the top of the village offering stunning views of the mountains, with very easy access by car. Comfortable bed, very spacey and clean rooms. The owners really warm and friendly and lastly a great breakfast to start the day exploring!!! !
When we arrived it seemed like a small place, which indeed it was. However, this was the best place we slept in Zagoria.
Vaso & George are so charming, very helpful and did whatever they can for us to enjoy our stay. Vaso prepared very delicious breakfast with local Greek food. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. Definitely a place I highly recommend.

There are no public areas in the hotel; it is very small so breakfast is served in the room and if you have the room with the lovely balcony view, which we did, that is very nice.

Our host was very nice, he recommended us a hike and a restaurant. The hotel is located on the other side of Monodendri with easier access. The room and the breakfast was very good, and obviously the view on the mountains. We totally recommend it if you want to stay near Vikos Gorges!

Wonderful family-run hotel with a nice breakfast. The rooms are very cosy and the staff is all very friendly. If you're too tired from hiking, dinner in the hotel restaurant is also very nice. If we come back to Zagorohoria, we will definitely book here again.

We had a beautiful stay in the beautiful mountains, the hotel is very nice with spacy rooms and a great breakfast. A perfect start for the hike to the Vykos gorge which start close by in the village. Lots of nice restaurants in walking distance!
Owners went above and beyond to help us plan a vikos gorge hike--went over the topo map with us and set up transportation to vikos to begin the hike. Hotel is in a perfect location in town.
Very nice place and kind hosts, the apartment having everything we need. Great breakfast that was enough for a 7 hours hike in Vikos Gorge. Will be happy to come back for a longer stay.
