Our room was large and had plenty of floor space for our suitcases to open. It was at the end of the corridor and had view of the sunrise over the hills. It had a balcony out the other side. The bed was soft and comfortable. The bathroom wasn't large but was adequate. Breakfast was good with homemade cakes and the usual fare. The hotel was right in the centre of Mystras. There was parking to the side of the hotel and some further under the trees. That was full when we arrived back from dinner but there was plenty of space on the roadsides. There is a pool which we didn't use but it looked nice.

Hikers paradise! The team that took care of the guests were the highlight, they created a wonderful atmosphere for their guest. If you are there to hike or are walking the E4 you will be very surprised at the level of information and help you will receive. We can not speak highly enough about Maria, Yorgos and Stephanie. They have created a very special place to stay.

Location - beyond fabulous; secluded, up a (very) winding road, with a stunning view over the valley. Ioanna (the owner) - charming, helpful and full of interesting facts about the old village. To avoid the drive back down in the evening for dinner, the restaurant in Mythras brought dinner to us. Ioanna made sure the fridge was stocked with our breakfast. Simple accommodation, but very clean and comfortable.

I could happily stay longer in the superb hotel, but mainly there is one sight to see in Mystras - the site of the old Byzantine city.
We spent longer there than anticipated; and if we had more time and energy we could have spent the entire day.
Drive to the top; see the citadel and the churches at the top. Drive to the bottom to see the rest of the site.
There is good information at the site, but prepare by reading up ahead and ideally have a good guidebook to make clear what to see at the site.

The Mystras Archeological Site is an extraordinary collection of Byzantine churches and ruins, built into and atop a steep mountain. Allow at least two hours and be prepared for lots of walking on slippery, uneven, steep surfaces. Worth it!
Tip: easy to park in Mystras main square, with multiple tavernas to choose from for lunch or dinner.

It's a small town or you can even call it a village. Coffee drinks and food can be found in the center square of that village. Ideal location to visit the famous Castle city of Mystras and after that, regroup and continue your journey. If i may suggest, the route from there to Kalamata through Taygetos mountain (EO82) is amazing...

I am very sorry for the CONFUSION in my review particualrly of this place. UNFORTUNATELY we could only spend ONE night at this magical and extraordinary PYRGOS OF MYSTRA. It was one of the most memorable places I have stayed in. Our host MARIA excels in her efficiency and kindness. The whole place has an aura of serenity and peace. It is no doubt due to the staff but also the surroundings: a profusion of orange and lemon trees, paerfumed roses and a beautifully landscaped garden. The room is not only beautiful but extremely well equipped and it was the best shower during my trip to Greece! We really received the royal treatment and in the magnificent dining room we were served a most delicious breakfast. I was so very sorry to leave the place the next morning and I woud recommend, without any hesitation, this particular hotel and make sure that you can spend MORE than only one night there. Our fondest appreciation to Maria.

Lovely quaint village within walking distance of the ancient archaeological sites, which are stunning.
It’s all very hilly to take a taxi to the top gate of the site if you’re feeling lazy - then it’s just up to the castle and then it’s all downhill back through the site and down into town

An amazing ruined city - great for anyone interested in history. We started at the top, walking up to the fortress then down through the city . We did not move our car as some tourist books recommend. The restaurant is outside the site but tickets are valid all day so no problem returning to walk back up - recommend this as you see things from a different perspective going in the opposite direction. There are sufficient information boards. Be aware there is only one toilet on site. Good shoes are a must - these are ruins! Highly recommend.
Loved everything about this hotel. The grounds are breathtaking and the rooms are new, well-kept, and clean. Breakfast is two rooms filled with delicious Greek and continental hot/cold food, and a coffee bar. Superb staff, helpful, friendly, and go above and beyond for guests. There are two pools on the property with a full-service restaurant/ bar. The property has security on guard, felt very safe. Reception was available to call taxi's upon request.
This is by far one of the most beautiful places we have ever seen. The views all around are incredible, the rooms are super spacious with a kitchen and a bath.
The hotel has an amazing front garden to sit and enjoy a glass of local wine and a local cheese platter or a snack.
The highlight of the place tho is the amazing staff members, especially Natasha who is always smiling and ready to help! thank you for the best stay
The hotel is beautifully situated right in the centre of Mystras. We first visited just after it opened several years ago and it was lovely this time to see how the trees and shrubs have grown up, making the hotel blend beautifully with the landscape. The bedrooms were very comfortable with great beds and a fabulous shower. The spa was very welcoming and the breakfast ample and tasty.
Good place to stay if you plan to visit archeological site of Mystras or if you only search for a nice and quiet village.
Rooms are really nice with stone walls and really comfortable. The restaurant food is really tasty and good, and service is rapid. People are really nice and helpful.
I Definitely recommend this hotel and restaurant.
The staff were amazing and the hospitality was excellent. The bungalows were renovated and very comfortable. The property is a five minute walk to the charming town of Mystras where there are many good restaurants. The pool area was very clean and well maintained and a nice break from the heat.
Spacious room, particularly the bed. Very polite personnel with immediate response to our requests. The personnel is is the best asset of this hotel. The location is fantastic. The hotel is located in a place that is ideal for daily excursions with the car in the region.
We absolutely loved every moment in this hotel. The hosts are great entertainers as well as cooks. Our stay here was the highlight of our vacation in Greece. This place is just amazing.
We will definitely go back. I highly recommend this place to everyone.
The room was great, the breakfast ample and the location was beautiful! There was an amazing view of Spata from the hotel and you could walk to the archeological site of Mystras. The staff were also very helpful and suggested walks and restaurants near by.
Beautiful little spot in the mountains.
Amazing architecture, and the very large room was perfect.
Very close to the Mystras Castle which is an amazing site to visit.
Great and very well priced food.
Very cozy and comfortable room with all you need during stay. We had the best sleep here during our trip through Greece. The owners are very friendly, gave us some tips about surrounding areas.
Really nice stone villa, great and quite location, very close to Mystras archeological site and other villages with beautiful hiking trails around the mountains! Highly recommend it!
A beautiful hotel! Very quiet surroundings. Mystras is a small village and it's easy to reach the Byzantine area from here. 5 min by car.
