Prinos is probably the most boring and not so pretty place on Thassos so I wouldn't stay there again even though the appartment we staied in was nice and the hosts were great. Near by there are nicer locations and if you don't mind the view and the village and travel all over the island, Prinos can be a place for just sleeping. It is cheaper to eat out compared to Potos for example. So not too bad, but if you are looking for a pretty Greek village - that is not the one :)

Family hotel PROTEAS offer excellent Ratio of price and quality. First impression has been nice clean room with balcony toward pine wood. Room is equiped with net against Mosquitos so good sleep is ensured. Every day we enjoy breakfast seating in the yard in full shadows. Position of the hotel is such that you can reach sea in three different direction. West /150 m from sea. North/ 400m from sea/ and to the east /1km from sea. The friendly hotel owner allowed us to celebrate us birthday.

This house is NOT in Prinos. Actually, there are 4 Prinos's! The ferry docks at Skala Prinos. From there it's 2 km to Prinos village - OK, but nothing special. It's another 5 km uphill to Mikros Prinos and Megalos Prinos, where House Rhodia is located. Megalos Prinos is also called Kazaviti and Megalo Kazaviti. It is a traditional village of stone houses, now largely owned or rented by non-Greeks. However, the surroundings are fantastic, and Thasos Island as a whole is a wonderful place to relax. There are beaches everywhere, good food is easy to find, and various kinds of water sports are available.

Port is there with connection to Kavala's port. A small village with small shops on the port. However it offers almost everything to the visitor.
I strongly recommend Kostas Zorbas tavern (400m from Prinos's port), excellent sea food.

Chose this location to be convenient for the ferry for...
Chose this location to be convenient for the ferry for departure after touring the island. Buses run regularly from the port. You are about 20 minute drive from Limnas. There are scooter and car hire companies in the town. There is an ATM. There are a few restaurants and café/bars. The food was good in any we tried. Beaches just outside the town centre are good with plenty of free sunbeds.
The apart-hotel and hosts were absolutely amazing. Had a lovely time, very kind, attentive and friendly hosts always happy to help with everything. The place itself was lovely, new built and modern. Very close to the beach and port. The place has been very well thought and with attention to detail, everything you would need for a great holiday was provided for. A very clean and safe place, they even offer refreshments for guests which was a lovely touch. Most definitely recommend this place and will be visiting again soon.
I visited the hotel for first time a year ago, but my second stay was even more wonderful. So many things changed for good. The beautiful garden made me feel like it was a miracle place. The touch to detail was felt everywhere. New shower and equipment, one of the most delicious breakfast I ever tasted, with local product and friendly people all around you.
The water placed in the room was great addition to the relaxing stay. For sure, my next stay will be much longer, in order to enjoy the comfort they offer.
Dimitris and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel is just across the beach. If you fancy a cosy & quiet(er) beach bar, I recommend. Room was according to our expectations. Breakfast is average but contains the basics we needed. Pool is nice if you just want to relax and grab a drink from the bar. We liked the green garden and the mornings by the pool.The city is small, you need a car to explore the surroundings. Limenas is pretty closed.
It is really nice, and clean hotel in quite neighborhood. Rooms are decent size; shower has good pressure/heat control. Was a bit leaking on our room, but I guess it was fine. View is fine from hotel, you will be staring at lit palms, for your long night conversations.
Not too many mosquitos which is a plus too.
AC works well, but leaks a bit onto balcony, but not big of an issue once you have that size of balcony.
Excellent location, very clean, well organized with everything you need! Beautiful terrace and garden, well maintained, close to Platana beach (perfect for kids, with shallow water and sand), Christos is an excellent host-he helps you with all you need, at any hour. It's my third time in Thassos, but is by far the most beautiful location. We had a perfect vacation. Thank you Christos! 👍👍👍
What we really loved about the hotel was the location, as it was in the middle of all the other sites which we were interested in. The facilities and the frequent cleaning as well as the maintenance definitely made an impression. The staff was friendly and helpful. Since we arrived earlier than expected on the first day, they managed to arrange our check-in about 3 hours earlier.
Perfect accommodation and location next to beach(3min). Beautiful garden where you can sit and drink free coffee from the hotel. Extra Equipment kitchen!!! Comfortable beds. Air conditioner and wi fi working perfectly. Mosquito nests on windows. Lovely decor. Friendly host, we were feeling just like at home. Next to the local store and tavern.

Right next to the ferry port so it’s convenient if you don’t have a car. The hotel was very clean, room had all necessities (aircon, fridge, kettle, mugs). The beach right in front of it has clear calm water and is part of a big beautiful bay. Vicky the owner is super nice and hospitable. I definitely recommend staying there and would love to come back
The hotel is very close to the beach, 1 minute walk, it has a beautiful front garden where the kids play , the rooms were cleaned every day and they have a big fridge, the AC was working just fine , the landlord was very friendly and nice, there are some restaurants and a shop nearby, the area was quiet and almost no traffic
Beach was perfect. we have doubts about the beach before we arrive the hotel. But it was one of the best beachs for us and for our 3 years old children. Also staff and owners were very helpull. Apart was big and clean. Good location that you can find everything close.

It is a luxury hotel situated at the beachfront. Nicely curated garden and nice pools. The food is of good quality. Nice parking facilities and nice children's facilities on the beach. The attitude of the personnel is superb.
Alea Hotel goes beyond with its facilities. I relaxed in the hot tub and hammam, and even took a dip in the pool. For the active ones, there's a beach volleyball court. It's a complete package for a memorable stay.
