My husband and I were blown away by the attentiveness of the staff. Maria at the front desk and Athinos were incredibly helpful and always checking to see if we had everything we needed and more.
Breakfast each morning was a blessing, and super healthy. The breakfast changed every morning which kept things very interesting.
The location was very close to Fira about a 10-15 minute walk and about a 45 minute walk down to the Old port of Fira for our boat cruise. Excellent location. The bus station is just a five minute walk from the accomodation at Karterados Bus station. Very easy to get to. Buses took only cash of about 2-2.5 euros per bus trip.
There is a small minimart full of little snacks and water bottles for your holiday just around the corner of the hotel (on the way to the bus station). I will say don't drink the water on Santorini. Only drink bottled water.

The hotel is in a perfect location,only 15 minutes away from the center and the beach. We had our room upgraded as it was my birthday and Maria ( the hotel service agent) surprised me with balloons and wine. She made our holiday exceptional and comfortable. We deffinately recommend this hotel!

The staff were amazing! Especially Denisa and Maria, our receptionists. They were smiling, welcoming and considerate. (Our experience in Athens was not like this) We arrived knowing not much about Santorini and they gave us a pro recommendation for all the things we can do here. They can also rent cars(at a cheaper price than airport) and book cruise for you. They prepared a surprise honeymoon cake I asked for which was absolutely delicious and pretty. They even gifted us a bottle of Greek white wine and upgraded our room. Thanks! You can feel they had a good training and their goal is to make you feel at home and enjoy your holiday with no worries. A good service is why onyx have a good review and stand out from surrounding fierce competition.
As for the hotel itself. It is in the middle of the island, close to Fira and 20 mins drive to Oia. The room was cleaned everyday, bed was comfortable. Many choices for breakfast. Pool was pretty with progressing depth.

The hotel is in a peaceful neighbourhood of the village of Karterados. The room was big and had a terrasse and a nice bathroom with a big shower. Everything was clean.
The staff was always available and could give us good advices to explore the island. They’re also very reactive, and ordered us transfers from and to the harbour which was very convenient.
I consider that for the price we paid, the room was really qualitative.

The most amazing hostel I’ve ever stayed at! The location is gorgeous and at a good walking distance from Fira or the bus stop. The staff are all lovely and very welcoming and the breakfast is great too. There are weekly activities such as dinners and movie nights as well. Would recommend this place to anyone and will definitely be back in the future.

The owner was liar, he/she claimed guest stole their lamp & batteries. Please check their website, over 100 photos, none of them had lamp in the picture . I had NO CLUE, why did them make this kind claim?
They liar & made up things, claimed that guest asked them to drive guest around island, I hired taxi every day & I kept all the receipts to prove how much I paid for the taxi every day.
I have trouble to understand them. For sure, they ARE NOT honest people, NOT honest business.

Katerados is a village near Thira, with adequate facilities, small tourist shop,supermarket, bakeries, cafes, and a few restaurants. A relaxing place after a busy day out.
It is very easy to use the bus service, you can get all around the island, the buses are quite busy, but run regularly right up to 11 p.m.

We stayed at beautiful Lilium Homes and it was a perfect place to get away from the all the noisy crowds. So tranquil!

Karterados was a great place to stay, it's an easy 20 minute walk into Fira with all the attractions, shops, restaurants and nightlife you could wish for, and it is also ideally placed for taking buses to other parts of the island too. Being just on the outskirts of the city it was much calmer and quieter, with far less traffic. It felt more like a typical Greek town or village, the people were very friendly, there were lots of various restaurants, cafes and bakeries, with more reasonable prices than Fira, and all with a superb choice of food. There is also an excellent brewery there, and a supermarket/gift/clothes store which seemed to sell just about everything you could think of and more! If you stay in Karterados you won't be disappointed.
We recently stayed at Onyx Suites in Santorini and had an amazing experience. The hotel is modern, comfortable, and close to the airport, making it super convenient. The breakfast was excellent, with a nice mix of local and regular foods. The best part was the staff, they were incredibly kind and truly embodied hospitality. They helped us rent a car, gave us tons of great recommendations for restaurants and activities, and were always there when we needed them. This family-run hotel is a must-visit for anyone traveling to Santorini! Tom

Artemis Village is located in a good area in Santorini. It was very easy to travel around the island. Artemis sorted a rented car for us on arrival 👌 and was dropped to the hotel!

Kiki was such a superstar host that helped us with sooo much! She sent us detailed recommendations and even helped store our luggage as we had a later flight.
The apartment itself was so clean and well-kept, with stellar, high-quality appliances and amenities. Love the abundance of clean kitchenware, towels, and hotel toiletries. The apartment is also simply just so beautiful - esp the yard! Perfect for a night in to chill and relax in Santorini.
We stayed in this hotel for out wedding in Santorini. It was very clean, charming with a lot of flowers outside, good for that value. The bath and room are small but equiped with everything what you need. The pool outside is also clean. The staff is friendly, the kids only know English but it was not a problem. After the wedding the staff left in our room a local candy, a bottle of wine and lovely message as a gift.
Babis, the owner, is an excellent host. Very informative, courteous, and a hard working person. The son Vassilis gave us great restaurant recommendations. The hotel is just south of Fira, and we walked there in 20 min. Babis also assisted is to rent a car at a very reasonable price, so we could go everywhere on the island. The pool was refreshing as it was very hot in Santorini. Breakfast was excellent.
Great location! Walking distance to Fira, Exo Gialos beach, and close to the airport. Close to a bus stop, bakeries, cafes, restaurants and grocery store. Clean and affordable. Friendly staff and I was able to have a balcony room like I had hoped. Lovely pool and patio area. Karterados has a beautiful windmill, blue dome and a red domed church and gorgeous sunsets!
A lovely family run hotel. Close to a bakery where you can find freshly baked items and coffee for breakfast. Plus there is a very well stocked supermarket close by as well. It is a 15 minute walk to Thira. The bus station is also very close and buses can take you to all the beaches, places of interest , the airport and port when you leave.
We enjoyed the position of the property: it’s 20 mins walk to Fira center, and nearby the hotel is a great bakery where you can have breakfast. The hosts were very friendly, and we enjoyed being greeted by Luna, the host’s dog, every morning and night! They cleaned our room every day, and changed bedsheets and towels.
This quaint little hotel was charming, we had room close o the beach, superb decorative lighting inside each room. the breakfast was a la carte and good but the staff was the best. Eve an Sissi were attentive, find us a shuttle to go to town, help me printing ferry tickets and were overall charming.
Cozy boutique hotel away from the crowds of Fira and Oia, but still easy to get to any location on Santorini. Katerina at the front desk was phenomenal. She was helpful with every part of our stay from pickup and drop off to letting us store our luggage until our ferry to another island. 10/10!

We LOVED Stavros! He was so sweet and helpful, between shuttling us to and from the airport, giving us recommendations for things to do in Santorini, and setting us with a rental car. Oh! He also makes a mean omelete :)
The staff was absolutely lovely, it is a family run business and they were all friendly and accomodating. Santorini prices are outrageous and this hotel was great value, its clean and quiet. I would stay here again!
