My husband and I were blown away by the attentiveness of the staff. Maria at the front desk and Athinos were incredibly helpful and always checking to see if we had everything we needed and more.
Breakfast each morning was a blessing, and super healthy. The breakfast changed every morning which kept things very interesting.
The location was very close to Fira about a 10-15 minute walk and about a 45 minute walk down to the Old port of Fira for our boat cruise. Excellent location. The bus station is just a five minute walk from the accomodation at Karterados Bus station. Very easy to get to. Buses took only cash of about 2-2.5 euros per bus trip.
There is a small minimart full of little snacks and water bottles for your holiday just around the corner of the hotel (on the way to the bus station). I will say don't drink the water on Santorini. Only drink bottled water.

The hotel is in a perfect location,only 15 minutes away from the center and the beach. We had our room upgraded as it was my birthday and Maria ( the hotel service agent) surprised me with balloons and wine. She made our holiday exceptional and comfortable. We deffinately recommend this hotel!

Amazing staff, Maria was always extremely helpful and kind as well as the rest of the staff. The room was exceptional, as well as the view from our hot tub. We stayed in 4 places on our greece trip and Onyx by far had the best breakfast. Housekeeping went above and beyond. Groceries and restaurants were a short walk or even shorter drive into town.

This was my fiancé and I first holiday together and we made the right choice in choosing coconut residence. The host Maria was absolutely amazing, helpful and supportive in booking us taxis at our stipulated time, giving directions and suggestions and constantly checking in on us to make sure we were happy and okay.
The location was also not to far from Fira and had restaurants and a supermarket around. We also had our hot tub and suite regularly cleaned as well, it was indeed an amazing experience for us and we would highly recommend this accommodation

The most amazing hostel I’ve ever stayed at! The location is gorgeous and at a good walking distance from Fira or the bus stop. The staff are all lovely and very welcoming and the breakfast is great too. There are weekly activities such as dinners and movie nights as well. Would recommend this place to anyone and will definitely be back in the future.

The owner was liar, he/she claimed guest stole their lamp & batteries. Please check their website, over 100 photos, none of them had lamp in the picture . I had NO CLUE, why did them make this kind claim?
They liar & made up things, claimed that guest asked them to drive guest around island, I hired taxi every day & I kept all the receipts to prove how much I paid for the taxi every day.
I have trouble to understand them. For sure, they ARE NOT honest people, NOT honest business.

Katerados is a village near Thira, with adequate facilities, small tourist shop,supermarket, bakeries, cafes, and a few restaurants. A relaxing place after a busy day out.
It is very easy to use the bus service, you can get all around the island, the buses are quite busy, but run regularly right up to 11 p.m.

Karterados was a great place to stay, it's an easy 20 minute walk into Fira with all the attractions, shops, restaurants and nightlife you could wish for, and it is also ideally placed for taking buses to other parts of the island too. Being just on the outskirts of the city it was much calmer and quieter, with far less traffic. It felt more like a typical Greek town or village, the people were very friendly, there were lots of various restaurants, cafes and bakeries, with more reasonable prices than Fira, and all with a superb choice of food. There is also an excellent brewery there, and a supermarket/gift/clothes store which seemed to sell just about everything you could think of and more! If you stay in Karterados you won't be disappointed.
The house was perfectly located, close to a lot of restaurantes, supermarkets and just couple of minutes away from Fira where you can walk and see incredible views. The place had everything you need, super comfortable beds and really fast wifi. And George was a super host, he was always there answering in minutes for any question we had and helped us arranging transportation and Quads to ride around. I totally recommend this place if you want the best experience in Santorini!
Villa Makrilis is a beautiful place to stay while you’re on the island. It’s in the center of Santorini, close to Fira. My group loved the villa, it was clean, we loved the hot tub, the kitchen was well stocked, and it was a really comfortable place to stay. We also love the host, Takis! He took the time to tell us about the island and a few really great places we wouldn’t have known about as tourists. Thank you for the incredible stay, Takis!

There are many services and restaurants and shops in the surrounding area.
But the most important of all was the availability of the hostess Katerina. She was always very kind and helpful and she was able to give us valuable advice for our wonderful stay in Santorini. in the future I will want to go back to Santorini and I will want to stay here!
The property is located about 30mins walk from Fira, so you can visit the town of Fira and bus to Oia, Kamari, Perissia, etc. There are many options for food in Karterados (less than 10min walk). Overall, if you want a relaxing place away from the crazy busy tourist chaos of Oia and Fira at a more reasonable rate, stay here, but I would highly recommend renting a car or ATV unless you are up for walking to everything.
We stayed in this hotel for out wedding in Santorini. It was very clean, charming with a lot of flowers outside, good for that value. The bath and room are small but equiped with everything what you need. The pool outside is also clean. The staff is friendly, the kids only know English but it was not a problem. After the wedding the staff left in our room a local candy, a bottle of wine and lovely message as a gift.
I loved my stay here! the host family is amazing. even though we were only there for three nights it felt like we had known them our whole life. They went above and beyond for us and made our stay so enjoyable.
The hotel is super cute too and has a great pool area. The location on the island is a bit out of the way, but I liked experiencing more local life. It was close to beaches and a few restaurants/shops.
I am returning guest to Santorini, and had accomodation previously in different locations around the island. Pension George is our number one right now. There is no caldera view hotel that can be better than George in Karterados. Spotlessly clean, kind owners, perfect location - walking distance to Thira, feels like home... Incredible spot for sunrise! The room was nicely decorated, clean and the shower pressure was amazing. Staff were very accomodating and went above and beyond to make our honeymoon special by providing us with Santorini wine and a Greek breakfast. The hotel is next to a bus stop so you can make a quick trip to Thira. Alternatively, a 20-25minute walk slightly uphill will get you to Thira.
Very cosy and located in an ideal area close to Fira but far enough to avoid the busy crowds. The lady at the front desk, Maria, was very helpful and always went the extra mile to make sure things were okay. Her great and attentive customer service made it one of the most enjoyable stays i’ve ever had at any hotel, will be back here should I ever go Santorini again.

Cozy boutique hotel away from the crowds of Fira and Oia, but still easy to get to any location on Santorini. Katerina at the front desk was phenomenal. She was helpful with every part of our stay from pickup and drop off to letting us store our luggage until our ferry to another island. 10/10!
Very near from Karterados bus stop. Easy to reach from airpot as well as from Thira main stop. Neary by super market and good restaurants. Thira is by walk reachable. Nice beautiful apartment. Liked it very much. Staffs were guiding us with local informations.
I came alone, but the staff were so kind. The location also takes 5 minutes by bus to get to Pira. The pool was also clean, so I played in the pool for half a day. One of the reasons to come back to Santorini is this accommodation. Thank you so much!!!
Nice little hotel with great rooms. The rooms are a bit small but it's ok as it is very cheap compared to other places in Santorini.
