The location of Sofia's was great for me as it was close to my favourite bars & restaurant's, I never ate at the hotel but I will next time, I used Sofia's supermarket regularly, also not to far from the beach which I prefer to sitting around the pool although the pool was very nice.

Excellent location waterpark was fantastic and lots of activities for children . Lots of choice for Breakfast,lunch and dinner and food was always fresh and hot. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful and lots of different pools to choose from depending if you wanted to join in the fun and activities or wanted quiet time by the pool.

During our stay we ate at a number of restaurants. Among these I particularly recommend the Pandesia restaurant for its friendly staff and theatrical food presentations, Buon Amici for its excellent house wines and food (Italian), and the Olive Tree.

Kalamaki is a great family resort.
Kalamaki is a great family resort. We have stayed here roughly 9 times over the past 20 years with and without kids.
10 minute walk to the beach which is lovely and clean.
5-10 minutes to plenty of restaurants and shops.
Nice choice of hotels.
We have stayed at Denny's inn (about 4 times) the Roseland, the Venus, Antonis apartments and now Ionion Blue. Loads of other nice hotels to choose from.

Dirt, mess, lots of stray animals everywhere, at every turn you are offered tours around the island, they lure you to restaurants. Typical dozen resort, only tourists everywhere through travel agencies, hotels and crappy public transport (almost none). It was our first but at the same time last visit to Kalamaki. Never again.

Great base for the rest of the island. Good safe beaches. Lots of tours on offer. Went everywhere on foot in the village. Cheap buses to capital, reasonable car hire. Only caution we went end-of-season (October) so cannot vouch for high season. Definitely going back there again
Vanessa Hotel was an amazing way to start my travels. It was very close to the airport and easy to get too. Located in a cute, busy town it was easy to walk around. If you need something there are various stores around to go to. The street has a lot of food options too! The staff at Vanessa were lovely people and I was happy to have made friends there. The folks working at the bar were very welcoming and fun. Even though my stay was short, I will remember it with fond memories.
Hotel is next to the beach, it is easy to go to swim in the sea and come back. They have nice pool area if you do want to go to the sea and they also have 2 bars/restaurants which offers a lot of different type of food and drinks, have special events each evening (etc Bingo, karaoke), providing good breakfasts (English type), very friendly and helpful staff. Calm area around the Hotel, not on the main streets but it is not far away from main Kalamaki street ~ 500 meters.
The hotel is in a quite area, close to the beach and has around lots of good restaurants, supermakets, atms and pharmacies.
The room is really well thought, stylish and clean. It has every facility you might need.
Christina is a great host, we felt really welcome, and she gave us great recommendations for places and activities in Zakynthos.
The room is cleaned every day and the cleaning lady is a really sweet person.
The location is perfect! About 15 minutes from the airport, 2 minute walk to the beach, and 10 minute walk to the restaurants.
We ate breakfast and dinner at the hotel and it was fresh with a wide variety.
It has 2 pools (1 is adult only) plus a kids splash area.
The best part of the hotel is the staff. They are so kind and hardworking. Special shout-out to Anna, Maria, Denia, Kostas and his crew.

Great location - overlooking Crystal beach and only 10 mins from the airport by taxi (but no noise is noticeable) and also only 10 mins, 10 euro by taxi, or a pleasant 45 mins walk on level ground into Zante town

it is really good hotel , very calm, just nice tourists around, not so many young people. The food was almost every day different and it was very tasty. From seafood till transitional Greek food . The swimming pool was clean and quite big. always was snacks by the pool . The room was big, air conditioner was working very good. All was perfect

Hotel was very clean, stuff was very nice and helpful. It was very near to the beach as well as to the street restaurants and bars however in a distance that guaranteed quiet. Pool was nice with many sun beds available. The pool bar was good with many food and beverage choices. Breakfasts were ok.
Everything was ready to welcome us even though it was a last-minute booking. Clean and comfortable, the surroundings are wonderful with all these flowers and green. The rooms comfortable and we had great sleep after our escapes on the island of Zante. I hope to see you soon again Vaso, thank you!
The garden, the staff, all great here. The outside of this property is amazing, a little corner of Heaven 😍. We loved it! The breakfast and the cocktails were also very good and the owners were so nice people!!! We would definitely want to get back here if we ever visit Zakynthos again!!

The hotel is in a beautiful area in Kalamaki, a few steps from the beach, wonderful panorama of the sea ( the rooms with a sea view), spacious and clean rooms, a diverse and delicious breakfast, coffee at your choice, very polite and helpful staff.

Apartments are very good. You must take attention that they are near the airport. So the noise can be audible. However, the beach in Kalamaki is the best in Zakynthos, and it is about 600 m from apartments.
