Potokia Rooms, hotel in Kakóvatos

Situated within 33 km of Temple of Zeus and 34 km of Ancient Olympia, Potokia Rooms features rooms with air conditioning and a private bathroom in Kakóvatos.

The location is, in our opinion, amazing. A little walk across the sand dunes to the beach. Small town nearby with a supermarket and a few restaurants. Also a few ancient sites are possible to reach by car. It was a nice drive to Olympia and a few other ancient sites.

Ionion Star Hotel, hotel in Kakóvatos

Ionion Star Hotel is situated in Tholo, 47 km from Costa Navarino. The hotel has a children's playground and sun terrace, and guests can enjoy a drink at the bar.

I travelled with 4 friends (so 5 people in total): we booked 2 rooms (a triple and a double) and we got them one near the other as we asked. There is a parking lot in front of the hotel and it was easy to reach from the main road. We arrived late in the night, the reception was closed but they left our keys on the desk. My triple room was spacious with a small bathroom and a balcony. The breakfast was tasty and with a lot of choices.

Rex Hotel - Bebeka's, hotel in Kakóvatos

Rex is a family-run hotel located in the outskirts of the small town of Zacharo, at a distance of 1 km from the coastal line of western Peloponnese.

Was my birthday and the thoughtful host upgraded our rooms and even had a birthday cake prepared for me! Beds were comfortable and breakfast spread of Greek and western hot/cold food was excellent. The common lounge had a fireplace lit and it felt like we stayed in a warm traditional Greek family home which came with 2 large dogs! Parking on the property was super convenient and great location with easy walk to lots of eateries, shops and supermarket nearby.

Kakovatos is a charming small village that sits right on a great sandy beach with crystal clear waters. It is tucked away from touristy areas and offers family-oriented vacation experience. Local taverns are the best and offer traditional Greek dishes and fresh fish daily. Neda falls are a one-hour drive and are worth the hike, and ancient Olympia is only 20-30 minutes away by car.

    Kakovatos is paradise on earth.

Kakovatos is paradise on earth. It is part of the biggest sandy beach in Greece (about 60 km long) and combines the mediterranean green (pine trees and thyme bushes on top of the wide sandy beach) with the fine golden sand and the light blue clear waters. It is kept unspoilt (no buildings around, absolutely no noise etc) and it is the ideal place to see and feel nature at its purest. Ideal for families with little childen since the sea isn't very deep. It is quite close to ancient Olympia and Neda Waterfalls, both of which are a must-see.
