Manolis was very pleasant and helpful. He gave me a quick tour of the town when I arrived and he also arranged informal bicycle hire for me. He accomodated my request for 4 pillows. The bedding was very clean and the bed very comfortable. There was a washing machine on the premises - invaluable to a lightly-packed traveller. The maid was very friendly and pleasant

Wonderful hosts, gorgeous villa, breathtaking view, great breakfast delivered to us. Two great beaches 3 and 15 mins away on foot. Agios Nikolaos was less than a 20 min drive away. Hosts went out of their way to help with any request we had. They cleaned the villa every day. Definitely recommend.

The apartment is so nice, it felt like home right away. Everything is just perfect, comfortable and has everything that you would need. Location is very convenient, next to all the restaurants and little stores, and 3 beaches are a few minutes walk away. Apartment has the most amazing Mediterranean Sea view! -and I’ve seen hundreds. The view from these immaculate hillside apartments is truly spectacular.
The host is a super-nice doctor and all amenities are here: great beds generous balconies, neat kitchen & spotless bathroom - including a crystal clear private pool.

Istron itself is a small town with some conveniences like...
Istron itself is a small town with some conveniences like ATM, tavernas etc. We stayed there not because we wanted to be in this particular town but because of the access it gave is to the surrounding area. With a car we could easily reach many beautiful beaches, ancient villages in the mountains, Ag Nicholas for history, churches etc. and some genuine Greek restaurants, mainly in villages. It is a good central point for many things that interest us.

Istron is one of many small towns, on the main road between Agios Nicolaos and Sitia.there are lovely beaches, tavernas and small supermarkets for all your needs Try eating at Mama Loutros, you will ot be disappointed!

Istron is a lovely place to stay with fantastic beaches and very friendly people. It is not an overly lively resort but has enough for older teens (Palace Bar was great and had lovely cocktails too and Friends had live music on some nights). It is also a great location to explore more of the island

If you want to relax soak up good food people and sandy beaches then stay for months on end. Car is always great to move around and get further out to towns like leopetra. There are nice restaurants all around the town and beyond. Never felt like I was short of choices and this trip was during April which many places close until the season.

We were there for the last week of the season (late Oct) so...
We were there for the last week of the season (late Oct) so the hotel was half full and quiet, not sure what it would be like in high season, but we had a great time!
Great location, good private beach, terraces, gardens and a great swimming pool alternative. Beautiful views. The food in the hotel was amazing - we had a breakfast and dinner deal which was perfect for us. Breakfast was a buffet with good choices every day. The evening meal was 4 courses - all delicious cretan food and different every night - we would consider staying here again just for the food! They also had a great selection of cretan wine - very well chosen - all delicious.
Our room was simple and functional - perhaps more 'basic' than we were expecting. The double bed was (of course) two singles pushed together which wasn't so good. The wifi in the room was non existent - this could not be addressed, so we had to use the wifi in the bar (3 floors up). They should get this right for all rooms or make it clear that there is no wifi.
Ending on a positive...we found all staff were all very welcoming, friendly and helpful, with 'good enough' to excellent English (our Greek is terrible..).
We had a lovely stay and would go back.
We had a great time in Istron. The location is perfect:
- 3min from Voulisma beach and other amazing small bay beaches.
- 12min by car from Agios Nikolaos.
- very nice & traditional villages around 15-30min ( Kritsa, Kroustas, etc).
- next to the rooms there is a mini market that the owner runs, which is extremely convenient for daily stuff you need.
The apartment is new, fully equiped & comfortable (washing maschine, iron available).

The communication with Christina was always easy and she was really attentive.
The host Ioanna made our stay unforgettable and we felt like at home. One of the things that we loved was when Ioanna brought us some figs of her own tree for the first breakfast!
The appartment is clean and has everything you need for a perfect stay: kitchen, bathroom, bedroom, living room and we had a nice balcony with a view to the sea.
If you want to feel at home in Crete don’t hesitate to stay at Pellas Appartment.
Apartments are situated in very nice quiet place, every night we slept with the sounds of the sea. Rooms are with a nice view to the sea. Everything that we need hosts left for us in apartments. We felt like at home. Very important thing is that the most beautiful beaches on Crete are there, 5-10 minutes from apartments
Staying in early September the hotels beach is nice and peaceful, although the beach is slender we had no problem finding a place to good spot to settle.
Our balcony was one of the larger on a split level (room 303) with table and chairs plus two sun loungers.
We found the beds comfortable and the shower worked well.
The most amazing appartment with the most spectacular views! The owner is so sweet he also left us fruit, a bottle of water and a bottle of wine! If you are staying here make sure you book your dinner at MamaLoukia & Lotzeta, believe me it will be the best meal you will eat in Crete.
Everything was perfect at the villa. Lucia welcomed us with fresh food and showed us around the house. The property is spacious with large bedrooms and bathrooms. The highlight is to just cross the street to access one of the nicest beaches on Crete with turquoise water.
The villa was spotlessly clean with a lovely salt water pool. The wonderful staff were beyond helpful and made us so welcome. All of the locals were very friendly, especially Dimitris the manager of the villas, he’s possibly the nicest man on Crete.
Was really nice and cozy place to stay, with unbelievable view to the mountains and sea. The owners of the villa greeted us like we are the part of them family. This is one from the “must stay” places in Crete . Highly recommending!

The property had a beautiful view of Istron bay. Our studio apartment was very clean and had everything we needed during our stay. We enjoyed our terrace with the views every night.
The view from the hotel is spectacular to a nice bay. Also the resort's staff was helpful and nice. These were the only positive experiences during our stay at Istron Bay Hotel.

We loved our stay at Maria’s apartments. Maria and her family are very sweet and kind and made our stay in Istro so memorable. Walking distance to two beautiful, calm beaches.
Well, the view is very nice. It's a beautiful bay in Crete, only for this hotel. The sea water is calm, there are not many people around you and the sea experience is nice.
This is by far the best place to stay in Istron, friendly People, very clean and new villa.
I amost forgot, The views are breathtaking!
