Galissas was quiet, but access to Ermoupoli was good and short by taxi, picturesque by bus. I preferred to be at Hotel Benois, Galissas for its beauty and amenities. Staff were sensational- especially Maria and Constantinos. And bar staff made great cocktails.

The staff, with the exception of those present in the morning, are rude to foreigners
Our room was outdated, not enough plugs for example, as was the bathroom with a tub that did not drain water
Our room was next to a cleaning ladies' equipment store, as a result every morning at 08:15 at the latest we were woken up by the slamming doors and then by the voices of the cleaning ladies
Our balcony was never sunny, for a customer staying for a fortnight I expected a better-exposed and better-kept room.
Instead we seemed to be almost a nuisance.
True shame the island deserves more.

Galissass is small and friendly with all the facilities one would need for a beach holiday. There are a variety of tavernas to suit all budgets and Barok is probably one of the friendliest bars you could ever find.
there is a bus service that can take you around the islands beaches and into town.
It's the kind of place that people keep coming back to year after year after year.

It is a calm place in comparison to Kini or Poseidonia and the location is perfect for a quick trips around (except of the ones mentioned above also Delfini or Foinikas, easy to get to Ermoupolis as well). Very nice central beach and a small hidden one called Armaios if someone is after more privacy and nature. We were very satisfied with this location.
The apartment was very large, with two bedrooms and dining/kitchen area, had its own huge terrace as well as another terrace shared with the other apartments. There was a small playground for kids and the entire property was very elegant and cozy. Plenty of parking space. The apartment had all the facilities and appliances necessary and the owner was very kind. Within walking distance from beatiful Galissas beach, sandy, shallow watter, sunbeds and parasols available and several restaurants, coffee shops, supermarkets, etc.
Beautifully decorated hotel. Spacious, clean, good breakfast, and incredible staff. Directly in front of the beach of Galissas. The town of Galissas is quieter, and has a handful of taverns, a market, and a beautiful beach. Ten min drive to downtown Ermoupoli with taxi. Bus services available, which the hotel staff can help you navigate. It is advisable to rent a car in Syros if you want to see the whole island. All in all, great experience! a relaxing getaway in a gorgeous place.
The owners of the hotel were very kind and helpful, always there for whatever we needed. Thanks to them, our stay was like vacation at a relative's house.
The room had useful things that other hotels lack, like mosquito repellent (which we didn't have to use once), electric hair dryer etc. Very nice view of the sea too.
The hotel is a 2 minutes walk away from the bus station and 3 minutes away from Galissas's beautiful beach. The hotel itself was really pretty and traditional.

It's a family run hotel, they are very helpful and take great pride in the hotel and it's facilities.
The pool area is very good with sun all day long. There is a buffet breakfast available, and a pool bar.
The rooms are a good size, with fridge and small hob for cooking.

Within minutes of arriving we instantly felt at home and looked after by Angela. The room and was perfect and have everything we needed, it was clean and very well looked after. Galissas Beach is also a stunning location with beautifully clear water and a very relaxing atmosphere. We couldn’t recommend it and Angela’s enough, wish we had stayed longer! Will be back again for sure :)
Amazing family owned property that really did their best to make you feel at home. If I needed anything they were a stones throw away.
The location was located very close to the center of Galissas and the buses that took you to the city. The bed was comfortable and the shower and washroom was extra sized which was a welcome treat. Highly recommended.

Great value for money.
The best location, just by the beach. Comfortable room with a spacious balcony. Went there in September and we paid 60€ a night- a real bargain. Galissas is widely considered the best beach in Syros and is only a 10 minute drive from Ermoupoli - the taxi ride costs 12€. Totally recommended.
The Galissas location was a great spot. Away from the center on the beach with fantastic bars and restaurants. The hotel itself was cute and quaint. Very peaceful and Greek. We opted for the scooter rental included in the room. This was an added bonus to help us explore Syros with ease.
