The staff made us feel very welcome and the hotel was well arranged on the hillside with pool area and an outside terrace for breakfast. We had a lovely evening meal in the restaurant and the staff fitted us in before a large group booking. There was sheltered parking adjacent to our room.

In a new, modern, sparkling clean house, you'll find anything you may need. Generous space inside, large and confortable terrace, a big and beautiful yard, very quiet neighborhood, villa placed next to a lot of olive trees and neighbors' garden. Although located in a very quiet place, it is quite closed to pharmacies, super markets and tavernas. Not at last, Martha, the owner, is one of kindest, prettiest, most friendly person that we ever met. The building has 4 completely renovated apartments and is located in the small village of Drapanias. In this very quiet village, you will find a bakery, a tavern, and a small supermarket. The check-in was very easy as very precise instructions were sent in advance. There is free parking for guests, so no worries. The owner Ilona and her family were very friendly, nice, and helpful. They run this business with great care and thank them very much for that. Our apartment was divided into 4 zones - a sleeping area, an area with a sofa and a smart TV, a kitchen, and a bathroom. Overall the apartment was very clean, the bed was comfortable and we really liked the way it was decorated. The kitchen had everything we needed for breakfast and we also found useful things like olive oil, wine, coffee, tea, jam, local honey biscuits, and melon when checking in. The bathroom was spacious and comfortable, with some hygiene kits (creams/shampoos). 2 sets of towels for the bathroom and for the pool. Plus you have a balcony and although you may hear other guests you have privacy. On the patio, you will find fresh oranges for juice and tomatoes, and a large table with a deck for breakfast or lunch in the shade. Finally, I would like to add that Drapanias is located just an hour’s drive from Chania airport and there are many beaches around, both very simple ones within 5-10 minutes, and more equipped ones within a 30-minute drive.

Quietly located next to Drapanias beach, Camping Mithimna offers tents with free Wi-Fi surrounded by a tree-filled garden. It features a restaurant and bar.

The camping is chill, friendly and right on the beach with pebbles and clear water. We used it as base to explore all the area of balos, falassarna, chania. Restaurant inside is good we had a few meals did not disappoint once. Because we come in late october I would suggest to bring warm clothes for the night and extra coat. It can get very humid.
