The property is very nicely located right on the beach of Punda and the hosts were very welcoming and provided us with all the tips for the area. Even for 1 night, we have been upgraded to a bigger apartment which was clean, comfortable and equipped with all the amenities for a long stay. Very nice option either you want to stay in the area or visit the suburbs.

We visited Ano Diakopto during Helmos Festival, as we were looking for a nice apartment to rest and stay close to the sea and Kalavrita.
The apartment and hospitality impressed us!
⛰️ A M A Z I N G views to the mountain and the sea in the horizon
🛏️ Fully equipped apartment with anything one needs to gully rest (big plus for us the clean sheets and towels- we had great sleep!)
🕊️ Quiet location; you can hear the birds sing and the chickens from the nearby farms all day long, as you enjoy having breakfast in the balcony, or while resting in the bedroom
📌 Location: a great place to stay if you want to be 8minutes from the sea 🌊 by car, but want breath taking view and appreciate piece 😌

It was a quiet clean venue with close by restaurant facilities near to the beach. We were out of season and it only opened at weekends. The main tourist attraction of the rack railway was not operating due to a land slide blocking the line.

Peaceful little town.
Peaceful little town. The main reason to come is to take the railway journey but it also a good base for exploring the local area if you have a car and don’t mind some mountain driving! There are quite pebbly beaches close by.

Perfect hotel if you want to hike or even start the E4. The room was very very very clean and the staff where super friendly.
The interior was quite outdated but if you use the hotel for your hikes, it will serve your needs for a OK to good value. For normal stay, please check the pictures and ask yourself if you are OK with it or not.
For the E4 out there, it is very close to your starting point and the supermarket near the train station also has butan gas canister.
Quite an oasis with the waters of the Corinthian Gulf quite literally on the doorstep, less than twenty yards and you're at the waters edge. Despite the closeness to the small town of Diakopto one feels the peaceful isolation quite profoundly, almost like a little island. The house has a rustic charm unlike most one finds today and in Alina one has a wonderful friendly and helpful hostess.
The sunrise over the sea each day was worth the visit in itself.
This apartment in Diakopto became for us a place where we did not want to leave. Without a doubt the most soulful and comfortable place we have stayed in on a fairly long journey through Greece, Italy and France. Literally 100 meters from the sea, among flowering gardens and oranges and tangerines waving on trees. Exceptionally clean, comfortable mattresses, fast internet, everything you need in the kitchen, peace and quiet.
+ Pet friendly
+ The view
+ The overall atmosphere
+ Location: very relaxing, easy going village, the girl is next to the sea
+ Although the hotel is not new, the rooms are soundproofed
+ Very clean. The room was cleaned daily and they even changed our towels on the 2nd day(out of 3), without us requesting it
+ Small but well-working fridge
+ The staff, very friendly and helpful
+ Adequate value for money
+ The restaurant
We needed a place to stay for the night on our way from Athens to Zakynthos. We found out that there is a nice train tour from Diakopto to the historic town of Kalavryta. We got a whole suite, very comfortable and clean; Extremely friendly hosts; Excellent price; Excellent breakfast for a minimal cost. There was also a nice pool outside, and the shore of the Corinthian bay, with a nice beach, is only about 500 ft away.
Our room was large with a partial water view. It was clean. We didn't spend a great deal of time in the room as we were out exploring the area. The very best thing about the property are the people. It appears to be a family run property. We really enjoyed the restaurant. The food was excellent, and the family so kind and sweet. The food was so good we didn't eat anywhere else in Diakopto or the surrounding area!
The hotel was a 10 min walk to the cog railway! Hotel had a nice view from balcony. Room very comfortable with good kitchen facilities. We appreciate the extra effort of our hosts to make our stay enjoyable. Breakfast served to our table but lots of good food : yogurt, bread and homemade jellies, hard- boiled egg, toast sandwich. Very nice! Good value! We recommend this hotel!
The house was very clean ,conveniently located near the centre of the village Diakopto, it had all the necessary staff to make a family’s stay very easy and pleasant. The host was kind enough to welcome as with cold water and candies for the kids.Everything was new and we immediately felt like home . We will come back very soon ! It was one of the best stays in the area
A unique location. The property is on the seafront, isolated from the town by trees and bushes. So, it is just you and the sea. You have a piece of a shingle beach just for your own.
The water pressure in the shower is indeed something to write home about - best we had in Greece.
Very nice, friendly, and responsive host. Thank you very much for your hospitality!
What a gorgeous location, and the host Kosta was a delight! He gave us some great tips about the Diakopto train which was very helpful. The place itself is huge and has wonderful views. We ate a beautiful dinner at his restaurant on the beach and watched the sun set as the kids played. Wished we had time to eat our breakfast there too :-)
The Hotel is perfectly located at the waterfront. We had a room with balcony seaside. It needs to mentioned that you can go swimming, however there is no sandy beach infront. Breakfast was OK for us everything we need in the morning plus typical greek specialities.
Hotel is quite basic but that was reflected in the low price. Clean and tidy and everything worked, so was fine for a 1 night stay before taking the tourist train. Has off road parking and is a short walk down a side street from the town centre.
We absolutely love Hotel Alkistis. The apartments are clean, comfortable and the view is amazing! The owners are friendly, the location is great, and we can’t wait to go back. Thanks for a lovely stay!
Nice apartment with a view to the sunrise in the morning.
The conversation with our host was uncomplicated and easy. We could pick up the key at the hotel close the apartment.
We will return.
The room was very spacious and was good equipped with a TV, fridge, hair dryer and air conditioning.
The hotel had a nice overall look and is defintely a great value!
