Perfect location - a pretty, family-run property in a lovely, peaceful area - central yet it feels rural. It offers beautiful views across the fields to the ocean beyond, a large terrace, kitchen facilities (in some rooms only) and on-site parking. Staff and family were very friendly, kind and extremely helpful. They immediately responded to any request and epitomise Greek hospitality. A supermarket a short distance away, easy walking to Apollonia or Artemenos and an excellent restaurant just across the road from Nostos add to the convenience of this guest house.
Located in the village of Pano Petali, Petali Village Hotel offers a panoramic view of Apollonia and the sea.

The property has a gorgeous view and the pool area is quite lovely. The breakfast was splendid and the hotel arranged a transfer to the port, which was included in the hotel price. The hotel staff are incredibly helpful and friendly!

Beautifully charming, well equipped, very clean, modern bathroom. Close to town. Was picked at the port up by the owners. The area is so quiet and peaceful. Room had all the amenities. Great value.

The location is great, very close to Apollonia's centre while also being in a quiet site. The room was great and very clean, totally value for money, and the host, Aggelos, was very kind and helpful.

The hotel is well located being only a short walk from the port and the beach. The bus stop to the village is across the road.
We had a nice room with a large terrace overlooking the bay. However, the shower was small and we did not have hot water.
The welcome was good but breakfast did not vary. Not everyone wants toasted cheese sandwiches and hard boiled eggs for breakfast every time. A choice of omelette or other eggs would have been appreciated.

Good sized town with plenty of facilities.
Good sized town with plenty of facilities. Steno has plenty of shops, bars and restaurants. Lots of good more traditional places too along the road. Recommend To Stauri (bakery) Kamariano (gyros) and I Oraia Sifnos (traditional taverna with great terrace at rear).
The Alfa on road to Kastro is best supermarket.

A charming town with lovely artisan shops, bakeries and restaurants. The locals are lovely. This is a good location to be based in while exploring the island. We went in late October so many places were closed due to the off-season but it led to a very tranquil experience. If I were to return I would go in the summer when everything is open. Regardless, a trip well worth it.

Fully satisfied with the place!
Fully satisfied with the place!
Dora is an amazing and polite host. We stayed in her place for 4 days and she let us do a late checkout the last day to arrive on time on the port!
The place is exactly like in the photos, rooms are spacious and super clean!
The outdour place is actually bigger than it looks and its an amazing place to have your coffee in the morning and watch the view of the island and the sea in the horizon.
Even if it is in the center of Apollwnia, the place is very quiet.
We definately recommend it and we wish to go back soon.

We found Apollonia a great centre to stay for exploring Sifnos. Plenty of shops and restaurants, and a good bus service (even towards the end of September) for getting around the island. The Sifnos Trails were lovely for hiking.

We loved staying in this part of the island because there are so many choices for shopping, dining and cocktails. The taxi service in the centre of town is fantastic and the buses are very reliable and comfortable. Perhaps next time we would spend a few nights in beautiful Vathi Beach to get away from the centre for awhile. It is stunning and very laid back.
The relaxing pool, the stylish and modern rooms, both with views over Apollonia, the friendly staff which is always there for a good advise or bringing you water and sun protection at the pool. The location is in walking distance to the chora. Everything fits perfectly here to relax and enjoy the island. When we sat there at breakfast they brought everyone a small amount of the local chickpeas soup to try. Normally they only serve it for lunch or dinner on the menu. The croissants at the breakfast were just perfect…as well as the Rest.
The property is very central in Apollonia but still quiet. For a couple the apartment offers more space than an average hotel room, plus basic kitchen facilities (no oven, though). It was cleaned daily. The little patio in front is delightful for (self-prepared) morning coffee. The tenants of the other apartments seemed to get up later than us, therefore we were usually on our own. A few steps down the road is the Gerontopoulos café, to which the property is affiliated and where all kinds of delicious treats are for sale.
The place was pure perfection. Best spot on the island - it truly felt like a gorgeous retreat with incredible views, privacy, herbed gardens and trees planted around the property, beautifully designed interior, I want to come back every year. Just bring a book and chillax :)
It is certainly a hike to get to the center of town, so not for those who don't like walking and stairs, but we hiked around the island as well so this felt like just another way to explore the charming little footpaths of the village.
The place is very well maintained, very clean, modern and elegant. You can have a splendid sea view from the room or the garden view which is also very nice. We had a jaśmin tree on our terrace and it was really beautiful. There is a bus stop in front of the hotel to go to 3 different beaches. The old town of Apollonia is 5 minutes walk from the hotel and it is very convenient even when it gets dark. The hosts are very kind and helpful. They offered us a ride twice and it was really exceptional. Thank you.
Very comfortable (if compact) studio apartment, with a great balcony featuring amazing views in a convenient (yet tranquil) location. The beds were comfy, wifi worked great. Even though there were other guests staying at the property, the apartment still had its own private space. The best thing was without a doubt our hosts: The hospitality of Maria & her mother was amazing; words cannot adequately describe how welcome they made us feel. We were truly blown away by their warmth and generosity.
George was a wonderful host, giving us good tips on what to do on the island, which beaches and restaurants to go to and just always being friendly and nice. The apartment is located a bit far from the centre of Apollonia, so we usually went by car to town but it was perfect for us, since we wanted something quiet and with a genuine charm. George's place is all that. Sheets, towels and general cleanliness were impeccable. All in all we had a great stay, thank you very much, George!
A great small hotel very well located in Apollonia, few minutes away from the crowd but central enough, just in front of the main church of the village.
Very comfortable rooms, very good breakfast with local speciality, a small pool with a nice view.
A big thanks to Litsa, who manage this hotel and adorable !
She is always concerned about your comfort and always ready to answer to your questions and give you tips.
A big thanks to her.
From the 2 lovely ladies, to the accommodation itself, the location, everything was beautiful. I’ve stayed at 3 different places in Sifnos and this one, by far, checked all the boxes. Such a quiet place, located 10 minutes walking by the center of Apollonia. There were also supermarkets just next to it. The wifi works very well (we worked remotely from there with no issues) Would reccommend for both short term and long term stays.
Best view on the village of Apollonia and the sea. Nicely decorated hotel with a few lazy cats enjoying the sun. Nice pool and pool area. Very quiet, peaceful place. Perfectly clean. Staff very helpful, they always start their sentences with Yes its possible. We were lucky we had the hotel to ourselves. We loved it and extended our stay 3 more nights. Will be back!
Great location, with a wonderful view, just a few minutes walk from Apollonia centre and the bus station. The rooms are gorgeous and spotlessly clean. There is free parking available which is adjacent to the property.
The highlight of Margarita Guesthouse was the owner who is the loveliest, most adorable person ever who honours the Greek value of hospitality!
The views of the sea and the outdoor spaces are amazing! Easy walk into town to enjoy great meals, shopping, and dessert! The staff are so helpful and welcoming! Also, convenient to reach beaches by either car or bus. Don't miss the great hike from Apollonia to Kastro! Overall, wonderful place.
We loved the room, the amenities, the location and the warm welcome and check-out (with tasty almond cookies from the bakery associated with the hotel). The apartment was 25 metres from a wonderful wine and cocktail bar and all the little shops and tavernas that make Apollonia such a special place.
It was fun pretending Dora's was our actual house for a few days. The space was just gorgeous and one of the most spacious we had in Greece! There are great design details. The patio is wonderful and had a requisite sweet and chatty cat. I wish we could have stayed longer!
Very centrally located, right near the main strip, the "Steno" on Apollonia, also right on a major road so it was easy to get in and out by car. I had a later ferry and they allowed me to keep the room a bit later than they needed to, which was exceptionally kind of them.
The property has a gorgeous view and the pool area is quite lovely. The breakfast was splendid and the hotel arranged a transfer to the port, which was included in the hotel price. The hotel staff are incredibly helpful and friendly!
Beautiful boutique hotel on the lovely island of Sifnos. We loved the pool area, the peaceful setting, the delicious food and the warm welcome from the team. A family run hotel has such a nice vibe to it :) thank you so much.
