The location is very nice, near the beaches and Zante Town. Alex and his family are very kind, always paying attention to all the details (e.g. food, accommodation, recommendations for places to visit) and providing you with the best experience as their guest. The breakfast is very diverse and delicious. We recommend to try their traditional home-cooked meals which are amazing. There is also a port nearby from where you can take boat trips to Blue Caves and Navaggio Beach. We will definitely come back to this location!

We liked the very small beach just below the Shoestring bar and restaurant and when we occasionally ate out of an evening we liked the Lemon Tree Taverna just 200m from the apartment. Alikanas is easy to get around and has a couple of reasonable supermarkets and tourist shops. It has a pharmacy and a private emergency medical centre.

Home away from home.
Home away from home. Whether you've visited multiple times or for your first trip you will be treated as a long lost friend throughout the resort. Every restaurant and bar has it's own special charm but all are worth a visit. Many bars and hotels allow you to use their pool and facilities. Alykanas beach is a shallow, sheltered cove and Rasa provides a more remote but picturesque alternative. Shoestrings is certainly worth the walk.

This is our 3rd time in Alikanas, its such a lovely location...
This is our 3rd time in Alikanas, its such a lovely location its lovely and flat for people to get around you can walk straight onto the beach from the road there is plenty to do and plenty to see with the locals willing to help they are very friendly. The views are amazing, its only a short drive from the airport which is good.

Loads of choices to eat and drink and prices very reasonable. Main Courses between 8 -12 euros and lunchtime Gyros €3.50. People so friendly and welcoming - we will be back - hopefully for longer than a week next time - super place.

Perfect location for both older visitors and those with children. As the resort is mostly flat. Lots of choice of restaurants and also a choice of beach front bars/kitchens. All businesses are perfect hosts.

It was great but stay away from golden dolphin company. They offers cruisis arround the island is not worth it find another company. Alikanas is best place for vacation on zante. Its not so crowded and loud as laganaki on southern part of island. And there are also better prices and people are very friendly and nice.
Oh, this one is a really really great property. Everything is new inside (contrary to my experience in Greece where you usually find some old or broken furniture) and extremely clean. Photos fully correspond to what we saw in the room. Cleaning every day and changing bed sheets every three days exactly as described. Wi-Fi and air-con worked fine. Nice patio. We used kitchenette and refrigerator a little too. Short walking distance to the beach. Maria is a super friendly host! Would definitely come back again if visiting Zakynthos again.
My studio was facing the pools and the moutains, it was just beautiful ! The sunset every evening was just amazing. The hotel staff (owner of the place ) are extremely nice and ready to help at any time.

The apartment has everything ones need in vacation, including washing machine. We enjoyed our stay very much, the place is silent, the view is beautiful (with olive trees, hills and sun). The Alikanas sandy beach is close, 400m. We heard the roosters in the morning, and the eggs from Gogo's mother were delicious. We would choose this apartment again, if we revisit Zakynthos.
From the minute we arrived to the moment we left, we felt totally looked after by the team of staff, whether by the pool, on the beach or in the restaurant. Our room was clean and had everything we needed - a fridge, a free safe, aircon and a good shower. We loved the waiter service on the beach and the fact that it was just a few metres from the hotel.
The location is great , lovely shallow and clear blue warm sea 5 mins walk away. We saw baby turtles hatching at night 10 mins away from hotel beach . Hotel grounds well maintained, clean , all green and well watered . Cleaners exceptionally good this year , every day cleaning , change of bedding and fresh towels . Pools were clean and well maintained.
Big rooms. Clean, silent (even if the house is near a street, but we don't spend time at home, we have visiting all the island in one week). It is a good location for visiting Zante with car, ATV etc

The hotel was on the beach. Everything (the pool, the restaurant) was close, not like in big resorts where you have to walk for 10-15 minutes from your room to the beach.

We stayed just for one night but we were happy with our choice. It’s a nice hotel, we liked the view and the location is very good - close to the beach. We also rent from them ATVs - we recommend this service :).
The hotel is lovely, pool and bar area quiet and relaxing. Food and drink is excellent and very reasonably priced. The owner Sakis is such a nice guy and couldn't be more helpful.
Simple hotel appartments, excellent for a rural holiday. A mere 10' walk from the local beach. Mr Demetris gave us the best advice on where to go for dinner and an evening walk.
