The local area is good for restaurants, vineyards, activities like boat trips and horse riding. There are some interesting historical sites (castle and bronze age settlement) close by. I really wish we could have stayed for longer than a week to see more of the locality. The bus can be a bit hit and miss, but a really cheap way to access the north of the island, Fira and Oia.

Beautiful area. Wonderful restaurants in the village. Loved the Venetian castle which has coffee and food. You must visit the ancient city. The locals over all were very friendly and helpful. Please note-there are a lot of homeless animals. Be prepared for it.

The town itself only 5 minutes walk and has a range of very good restaurants.
Nice quiet town, good bus service to Fira and very reasonable cost of fare.

Akrotiri is a small place in the southern part of the island of Santorini, from which one can see the caldera and also experience beautiful sunsets. There is a small supermarket and a clothing store as well as restaurants and an art shop there. Also important are the Akrotiri Castle and the proximity to the Red Beach and the archaeological site, which can be reached on foot. There are also horses nearby that you can ride to the beach. Megalochori, a small beautiful village nearby, can be reached by bus to Fira. An ideal place to enjoy the sun in the south and to do tours of the island from there.

This area of Santorini was just perfect for us. Memorable views, from the caldera to the sunset, Oia & Fira in the distance.
The archeological site and the Lost Atlantis museum are very close for a jump into myth and real history of the island. The best beaches for snorkling are in this southern coast, between Vlichada and the Lighthouse. Many family run restaurants, super markets and amenities are at reach. And the Horst Riding experience with a wild gallop on the eros beacj is roght there .. strongly recommended.

I liked the fact it was close to facilities which l forgot to mention before! Supermarket, restaurants, (loved Porto Bello restaurant), cafes & chemist etc! Also car hire available! All short walk away!
Enjoyed a trip to the ancient archeological site & the museum of The Lost City of Atlantis! Also Red beach & Caldera! Lovely catamaran boat cruise round island with bbq & wine although l ghoughg bit pricey.
Martha, the host, and her husband were absolutely amazing. They were always available to assist and their passion for their beautiful hotel was evident. Everything was meticulously taken care of, and the unbelievably stunning view added to the charm. The breakfast was delightful, featuring homemade sweet spreads that we absolutely loved. Upon departure, they even gave us a little something to take with us. This is the place to be in Santorini! Look no further.

The hotel is brand new and in the most stunning location. the view of the Caldera really is beautiful, and we were very lucky to have the penthouse which has an amazing size balcony and plenty of room inside too. The decor is beautifully finished and rooms comfortable. The location is quiet and away from the extremely busy side of Santorini. Lina was so helpful from arrival and sorted our transfers with no issues at all. The hotel offer car hire as well which is very handy if you wish to explore Santorini.
We arrived there after a bad experience in another hotel of Santorini and they saved our holiday! Everything was perfectly clean, staff was amazing and the position is great. In a few minutes by car you can reach fira and in a few minutes walking you can reach the beautiful and relaxing caldera beach. Follow their suggestions for the dinner: the best dinner in Santorini! Also their breakfast is perfect! Sooo good!!

Everything! Akrotiri is a quiet, cute little town and Santorini View is just outside, maybe an 8-10 minute walk. The bus stop to either Fira or to Akrotiri town and archaeological site is so close to the hotel. Taking the bus was an authentic experience!
The room was large and comfortable, the pool and pool area was relaxing, the view amazing.
I loved the breakfast each morning and the lovely staff were so accommodating and friendly.
Wonderful location and view on all islands. Very friendly staff. Hotel is a bit away from mainstream attractions, but since Santorini is small, it did not have caused any problem. Small shops and restaurants nearby. Pool is small, but having an astonishing view on all caldera settlements and on volcano islands.
Staff was very helpful for providing shower option for a late night plane-departure.

We had the biggest suite (#9) that has the entire rooftop with a hot tub. It had a really nice view and was huge. The room was comfortable. The breakfast was really good with a nice variety. Parking was easy (renting a car is a must - for Santorini in general!). Martha was very helpful with recommendations and whenever we had a question!
10 stars are not enough for this place. Exceptionally clean, and jacuzzi as well perfect clean. Size of room for couple is great.

Since way before arrival Petya connected with us share lots of insights, helped with transfers, car rental, activities, ideas ti where to go, visit, where to eat, what to do. Perfect place to stay away from the crowds of Santorini town. Bus stopped right outside the hotel so very convenient. A few restaurants up the road we’re very convenient. Good breakfast. Room was small but we weren’t in it much. We looked out over the pool. Little bar and cafe in the pool area. The owner was very helpful.

A very good alternative for a stay for those who want to not stay in the usual overcrowded places in Santorini and still be able to visit everything.
