The private beach was beautiful. The a la carte restaurants (which we learned upon arrival are not included in all inclusive) were great!

If I could give this property 10 stars I would! We came here first time ever and spent 3 days! Wish we could have stayed longer. We were greeted with a welcome drink by professional staff. We had a superior suite with a private pool overlooking the ocean! What a view! Clean room and very spacious! The breakfast had all sorts of food, made to order omelets, a vast array of meats and cheeses and fruits and sausages, etc.. even Prosecco to make mimosas! Not just one but two Infinity pools overlooking the ocean! It was only about a 10 minute walk to the main area with shops, restaurants, with beautiful views! There was even a spa where we had a fantastic deep tissue massage by George and also offers other spa services. The hospitality was exceptional at this hotel with great staff especially Vasilis who helped with our luggage to our car! He was so sweet and knowledgeable. We miss it already! Can’t wait to go back again!

Overall the stay was nice. Staff is nice and the rooms are fine but we did expect more of a luxury experience considering the cost.

Everything was great. From the location, breakfast, facilities, the staff who was always smiley and helpful, there is nothing to complain about.
Ammoudara is a small and quiet costal village, but the beach is clean and if you're looking for a peace and quiet it's just perfect. If you want a bit more action, Agios Nikolaos is 10 min away by car / bus.
Faedra was just a great experience for us.
I cannot recommend it enough. Looking forward to come back. :)

I would not call it a beautiful city but it has its charms and particularly the view from Gioma Meze (one of the best restaurants in town) is breath taking. Vibrant and lots of small shops and charming restaurants. There is a small city beach but you can easily reach two beautiful beaches within 10min. My personal top-3 restaurants are Gioma Meze (amazing view over the lake, great for sunsets), Pelagos (charming Patio and great fish) and Piatos (modern Greek with a twist in a beautiful city garden).

We love Agios Nikolas, we have here many times.
We love Agios Nikolas, we have here many times.
Unfortunately it was once again incredibly windy and that spoiled a lot of our plans. Luckily Ammos Beach was nice and calm— you would not have known it was gale force once you left the area. We were told we were just unlucky with the wind, but it has been the same the last three visits. If your accommodation is in a taller building it is impossible to sit on the balcony.
Communication with the host was excellent, smooth check-in in early morning hours (we arrived at 3.30 am), hospitality and friendliness of all hotel staff, useful tips from the owner for what to do and see/where to eat in and around Agios Nikolaos. Sense of humour. The gorgeous and huge terrace with a magnificent sea view, spotless cleanliness of the room and bed covers, vicinity of excellent restaurants.
The view of the room was simply gigantic. you could watch the sunrise directly from bed and feel like you are sitting right at the sea.
the owner was very friendly with many tips for the area and great recommendations for restaurants. also the breakfast was typicality Crete with yoghurt and Honey, fresh orange juice, omelet etc.
the house seemed newly renovated with a nice pool for hot days
Beautiful views from the balcony , wonderful warm people eager to do anything for you . So very peaceful and probably the best snorkeling in Crete straight off the private jetty. Great salt water swimming pool and huge surrounding sun terrace. We ate there 3 out of the 5 nights and enjoying every meal. Thanks Manolis and Vasilis we had a fab stay . Poly Kala .
Can't say what it will be like in the summer season but was so quiet in the evening as we stayed in the beginning of May. Staff were very pleasant.
Didn't use any of the facilities as we used this as a base to explore the eastern side of crete. Food was very nice and varied to cater for all.
