The breakfast needs to be changed every few days. And the mattresses were not the most comfortable I have slept on. Considering the price I think these two need attention. Other than that could not fault the place.

Amazing place out of the beaten track. Host was so very nice, he got us food and wine as we didn't have a car. Also gave us a ride to the airport which was convenient.

The photographs don’t do this place justice, it is absolutely stunning. The owners were so wonderful and looked after us, they made our stay feel so special. I just wish we could have stayed here longer. I would highly recommend Alsea to anybody visiting Kythira!

The perfect beach side holiday for those wanting to avoid hordes of tourists. Lots of options for eating out and all within easy walking distance. Plenty of nice beaches and a friendly, relaxing vibe everywhere we went. So many other attractions on the island that it's worth hiring a car - easy drive from Pelagia to Potamos, Kapsali and other beautiful locations on the island.

We fell in love with the island and could have stayed much longer. So much natural beauty, wonderful beaches, charming villages, great tavernas. We did a lot of swimming in the sea, so many beaches to choose from (we liked Loukidimis Paleopolis and Fourni especially). Swimming in the grotto at Avelamos was another highlight. Also enjoyed just driving through the countryside and stoping in town squares along the way to eat and explore shops. Mylopotomas was our favorite village, eat at the taverna in the center of town. Enchanting. The view from the castle in Chora is spectacular. We appreciated that the island was not over run by tourists. Our accommodations at Castri Village were so comfortable and the hosts were very kind and helpful. It was so easy to walk down to the village and enjoy. We ate every night on the beach in Agia Pelagia. Amazing ambiance, food and hospitality.

I've been going to Agia Pelagia since a little girl and have watched its transformation from a simple fishing village with nothing to do after 6:00p.m. to an active community with many restaurants, music, friendly people, deliciously real Greek food and dance. A celebration every summer evening. Great organized beach (Umbrellas, lounges & service).

Found that most - but not all - beach bars rented their sunbeds with parasoll for EUR 10, regardless of wether you were a customer to the bar, alone, came late in the afternoon, it was windy with no swimming possibilities, no other customers etc. And that goes for all of Kythera (with one exception). I don't mind paying for shade, a chair and WC, but EUR 10 for 2 hours when I have just eaten a salad in their bar! The beaches are free, and many wonderful, so I just hope for the bar keepers sake that they figure out how to get me and others as their customers. Basically Agia Pelagia is a good base camp, but you need a car to explore Kythera and visit all the wonderful beaches around the island.

For Kythira this is a beach town that actually has somewhat of a village fealing to it. It is still very small and only offers a few restaurants and beach bars. But the bars offer quality coffee, cocktails and food.
The beach is very nice and quite big. Mixed peddles and sand. Great swim.
There were two places for parasols at the beach. We went only to one ones and had to pay a ridiculous amount of 10 Euros. Way too much and for me enough reason to not return.

Used my husband's account to book this location. Hence the Christo name. I traveled to this location with my sister to fulfill a 30 year dream to come to Kythera. This hotel was just the best! The sea view, the breakfast with local, fresh ingredients, the hotel condition and the absolutely wonderful staff. They could not have been nicer people and so caring of any need that we had. Telis and Zina were such warm people who really wanted to ensure that we enjoyed our stay.
We just loved every minute! Thank you Anesis Hotel!
Marianna and all her team welcomed us to their family run hotel as if we were Family. The hotel was so comfortable, clean and well run. The pool was available until 10pm at night and was equipped with a bar . The breakfast was fresh everyday and with the best frappes and fresh organge juice. All the staff know who you are and treat you with exceptional warmness. They can recommend day trips and restaurants. We would highly recommend this hotel and the area it is in to stay.
The friendly, helpful and generous host, Vana, who has the perfect balance between supporting without being obtrusive. The property is in a quiet, peaceful, elevated position with a fantastic view of the southern Peloponnese-the sunrise is breathtaking! The location is five minutes or less from a variety of shops and restaurants and a lovely beach.
The location is great. Beautiful view of the sea, hearing the pleasant sound of the sea from inside the suite. It is easy to find a private beach around the suite for swimming. The beautiful view of the surroundings and the olive groves. It is perfect for every taste, climbing, swimming, diving, walking, cycling... and...
It was a really nice little cozy hotel. For the money that we paid it was amazing. The woman at the reception desk was amazing, honestly so friendly, and did everything she could and even more to make sure we had a perfect experience. This really made us feel welcomed to the island, it meant a lot.
Brand new hotel, right next to the beach. Staff were so kind and accommodating and responded to our needs immediately. Quiet location but very close to the organised beach of the area, as well as lots of cool restaurants and cafes by the seaside. I particularly recommend Thea Thalassa
Kythera is a fantastic island, still to be discovered by mass tourism.
The warm hospitality in the Anatoli hotel was a plus to our holidays. Special mention to Joanna, the reception girl, that helped us to organise all our days in the island with outstanding tips and results.
Beautiful place next to the beach, I would recommend it to everyone since some of the most beautiful beaches are 5-10min drive from the apartment. Also if you don't have transportation, the beach next to the house is quiet and perfect for swimmers.
Newly built apartments, comfortable, well arranged, squeaky clean, spacious, and well equipped. The host, Mrs. Konstantina was welcoming, eager to assist, and provide everything we needed. The beach was very close and easy to access.
Kytheria hotel was fantastic,
The owners looked after me so well,
Spotless!!! there aren't many hotels that have the level cleanliness such as this.

Beautiful view from balcony.
Very good location. Spacy room. Tasty breakfast.
